A very useful Firefox extension. Helps me a lot.

Great app, a bit of a learning curve but thats because its got tons of options (I wouldn't have it any other way). Author, please consider BTC, some of us have had one too many bad paypal experiences but want to show our gratitude.

I'm an extremely heavy tab user, and this is honestly saved me. To put it in perspective, I regularly have roughly 200 tabs open, but not all loaded thanks to UnloadTab. I can archive whatever images and other pages I like and group in an organized fashion to view later. It can handle anything I throw at it, and it's got every feature I could ask for: restore crashed sessions, grouping and renaming sessions, and restoring selected tabs from a session. Without this and Tab Counter, I'd be lost. I give you my heartfelt thanks to you Mr. Kraft.

I was having some trouble at firefox starting and restoring session didn't run correctly. Then I got the Duplicate Tab Blocker Addon didn't allow Session Manger to restore previous session.
I'd like to warn you about it.

Good; works how it's meant to. Similar to chrome's "FreshStart", just with a few extra features.

I love this one, and a must have. I always install this with my add-ons.

...after the last update of the nightly and the upgrade to the Australis interface I either do not see the icons in the customize toolbar tab at all or when I finally do (after lots of restarts), then either their place is not remembered or I only get the session save button (the one with the blue disk) and not the tab restore one (with the red cross).
Still 5 stars from me though because of all the hard work but into it and for being a life-saver all these past years. I believe that these issues will be resolved soon.
PS: I see the above issue on a fresh profile with a bare minimum of addons: TMP, Nightly Tester Tools and the newly created Classic Theme Restorer.

I've been using SM for a year or so and have found it Very useful. At anytime, I will have 4-5 windows and 200 tabs open working on different websites, researching, working on code... Bookmark All Tabs, Only BM's the primary window and Not tab sets.. Session Manger Does!
Thanks,
Landis.
ps. session 'titles' are stored in flat files while data is stored in sqlite.. Nice.

This is a great addition! I use it myself! I wonder if even that does not give grants! Highly recommended!

Great extension with a few exceptions:
- i don't know if it's my fault, but I sometimes get duplicate sessions with the same name, instead of overwriting
- it would be more then great if instead of minutes, the session would autosave on tabs open and close! that's the whole point of it, I want an image of opened tabs in the most recent state

great extension especially given FireFox's pathetic internal session mechanism which ends up with corrupt sessionstore file.
was wondering if there's a way to turn off the button on top right which is a red cross -- I never use it - would be good to have an option to turn that off -- thanks a lot.

Since I installed this addon, I never had session problems anymore since years! No more forgotten tabs, projects, ideas or "Where was I?", even not after serious (Windows) crashes!

Doesn't seem to be stable with the autosave on. Causes my firefox to crash endlessly, and also causes a very noticeable 2-5 second freeze up every time it autosaves.
It's somewhat more stable with the autosave turned off, though how stable I'm not sure yet. If it had a working, seamless autosave feature, it would do something that nothing else can do, as far as I'm aware; a feature lots of people want. But without it, it lets you save multiple, automatically timestamped, custom named sessions (which is really nice) and load specific ones on demand. But this doesn't help much with crash recovery, which is the main reason many people want it. Firefox already has a session restore feature, though it can only save one session when it's closed and restore it when it's restarted.
And if you're not careful with the settings it can very easily gobble up 10+ GB of hard drive space with session files. I wish it could just autosave everything but the cache, because then the session files would be small, and it wouldn't take much time to extract the information; just things like URLs, window titles, history, cookies, states of site clickables and form entries; no cache. Only save the cache during an explicit, click of the save session button. It has an option to disable restoring from the cache, but not one to disable *saving* the cache. That would be a big help.
Of course even better would be to autosave the cache without freezing up firefox while it does it, by using a better write buffer.
I think that "Encrypt saved session and window history" ends up corrupting a lot of session saves, even with the master password entered at save time and at restore. And even with the "If encryption fails, do NOT save data unencrypted" box left unchecked.

This is one of my must-haves. I actually have a hard time believing I ever used the web without it. I tend to open a lot of tabs and often don't finish going through them. With this I can just save them as a session and come back to them whenever. It also works great at backing up what I was looking at in case of a crash.
