It messes up my entire folder view. I couldn't finy my folders anymore, everything was hidden in some grouping tree, sorted by folder name, then account (the wrong way). Then the conversation integration is only halfway. There's a message tree as usual at the top (which does not include my sent mail, which is what I hoped to see), but a totally different message view at the bottom. It just doesn't fit. And it feels slow. ATTENTION: Make a backup of your entire data before trying this! It will not revert the settings it made on installation, even if it says it will. I'm now restoring my folder views, columns selection and so on. This alone qualifies for a zero-star rating.

I found a bug on this addon that would bug some people in the future: If a user sends his/her name as "Surname, Name" and we attempt to reply to it, then Conversations assume that pour contact name is "Surname" only and email "Surname" too, of course causing an error when sending the email.
Despite this bug, the whole addon is awesome and should be installed by default on every Thunderbird around the world.

This is one of the best Thunderbird add-ons. I have two requests, and one is what others have mentioned. Scrolling to get to the reply box on long threads is a pain. It would be nice if the reply box was in a fixed position, preferably the bottom, like in an IM chat window. My second request is to add a Reply All option to the reader window in addition to Reply. It's currently buried under More. Thanks for the hard work!

J'adore la simplication des fonctions, le regroupement des mails déjà écrits, bref tout.
Il faut un tout petit temps d'adaptation, mais rien de méchant

It was the last thing that keeps me using gmail on-line. Now I can abandon this and enjoy conversation view in Thunderbird. That's really awesome.

Thankyou. Thankyou. Thankyou for this outstanding plugin. Why you are the only person in the entire opensource world that I can find creating a conversation view, I'll never know, but I'm grateful. This is the single answer I have for people asking about how to leave google behind without going back to 20 year old, outdated email gui designs. I love that you included so many of the small but beautiful touches like inline replies and collapsing read messages. I do wish that collapsed threads that had an unread email in them would show the thread as unread, regardless of the status of the first email (at least when the thread is collapsed). This is how Gmail does it. The current way has meant I often haven't realised there was a reply as the (collapsed) thread showed as read in my inbox. Maybe it could be shown as dark grey insead of black+bold for unread or light grey for read. Anyway, this is just a niggle, and my overall putpose was to say THANKYOU for this sanity saving addon. You're my personal hero.
...now please go and code a version of this for Roundcube! ;P

Overall it is a very good plugin.
Do you have a site to report defects ?
1. The message list threaded grouping with the arrow on the left that you can collapse and expand does not work in any view except the ALL INBOXES view. It is not working on individual emailboxes. I don't want to have to view all messages in all four of my inboxes at once. I want to have this work on individual email boxes. In addition, it doesn't work on local folder messages lists.
2. The back and forward buttons no longer work after installing this add on. I used to be able to use them to switch back and forth between folders since it would remember where I had been. This add-on seems to have disabled the back and forward navigation buttons so that they no longer work.

Hello Jonathan (Developer),
You didn't understand what I said (I read the FAQs and everything before writing my review).
Please see this screenshot: http://img1.uploadscreenshot.com/images/orig/2/4600490828-orig.jpg
As you can see, I use the vertical split-pane view, so that I am able to view both the messages in my inbox and the email selected, at once. As you can see in the screenshot, there's the box for quick reply, but it doesn't work.
Now see this screenshot: http://img1.uploadscreenshot.com/images/orig/2/4600561385-orig.jpg
Now the screenshot shows that the email conversation is open in a new tab. In this case, clicking the quick reply area (the white box with "reply") opens it up, so that I can start typing and so forth.
Do you get my point now?
(PS: I dont see a reply button to reply to your reply directly.)
Please send me an email, my email address is available on the addon's page. It will make the discussion easier :)
Thanks,
jonathan

Decided to download TB10 after getting a message 2 days in a row that it was urgent to do so. Then had a heck of a time getting it restarted. After I did and all seemed to be working well, inc. the spell check that wasn't even supposed to work onTB10, I took the advice of another message and downloaded the Lightning Calendar and the Converstion add-on. The instructions on the download page said to click on the option in the add-on tool in the mail program and install the 2 add-ons. Well, there is no option to do that in my program and I can't get these to work any other way than to chase all over the net looking for a program I can trust to download and use to open them. Am very frustrated. At least I feel compensated by having the spell check work.

Add the best of the Gmail interface to Thunderbird. Works well. Simply essential.

One of the best addons. It has everything. No need for new features. Just (eventual) bugfixes and code speedup.
Keep up the good work!

WOW!
Amazing extension. Makes thunderbird really useful :)
Sometimes it doesn't recognize some quotes, but nothing major :)

...it takes forever to load conversations. I am running TB10. This is a must have add on for sure.

I consider this extension to be a "necessity" for TB. I only have a few installed, but this one is always first on the list and if it doesn't work in a new version of TB, I don't upgrade.

Wow! How come I've only just discovered this?! This has transformed Thunderbird into an essential piece of software. Can't understand why this isn't shipped as standard, at least as an option.
Thanks, dev.

The way you can now read emails is much more intuitive. It's the reason Gmail got so popular. Now you can have the Gmail experience with all the different emails you use on Thunderbird. It really makes organizing and reading my emails easier!
Cheers!
