This is a really awesome add-on! It works seamlessly with SeaMonkey.

How do you save a backup of the data entered?
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.8.1.1-signed).The data is and always has been stored in your Firefox profile (assuming you're using this with Firefox). I suggest you read this article: https://support.mozilla.org/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data . It tells you everything you need to know, namely how to find your profile and which files correspond to your saved passwords. All you need to do is make copies of those latter files, and to restore such a backup, copy them back while Firefox is not running.
There's also this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/password-exporter/ , although it may no longer work, if recent reviews are anything to go by. It's worth testing, though.

This is working great. Frankly, it should be built in Firefox; in any case kudos to the developer for this very well made add-on.

Excellent. It has survived several updates to the browser which is an amazing feat these days. Works just as needed. I have only one gripe: Allow a print of the entire list.

Very useful tool. One request though, would you please add the ability to change the toolbar icon
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.7.3.1-signed).I don't think there's any need to add such a thing. This is what userChrome.css was created for, so you can override the browser theme, and that includes icons and such in add-ons. However, this is *not* the place for support requests, since I have no proper way to contact you. Please get in touch by email or through the listed support site; then I will be glad to help you with this. Thanks.

I have no words, perfect, thank you very much!

A Must have!
Can be used safely alongside "Adblock Plus," "Do Not Track Me" and "Mask Me" by Abine, "Ghostery," "Better Privacy," "Secure Login," "Session Manager" a MUST (trust me, I lost everything without it!), and "Flash Block."
I love add-ons, and it is important to support the good ones so they continue to be used. I am still waiting for "Simple Zoom" to be updated to the most recent FireFox... :( I am now using "Perfect View" instead, which is more complex, but very nice, and it now has a toolbar button!
I have others, but they are for art stuff, making webpages look reasonable as they should, and some cool things. I wish "Scapbook" would update. Mozilla made their edit icon disappear, and I relied heavily (still do!) on that add-on for school and daily life!

Just a must have!
Note: For those I have read, the few people who have a negative feedback actually complain about Firefox' form/password filling feature, NOT about this add-on...

in each case i tested, it doesn't work - it seems that if FF doesn't prompt to remember passwords, then this extension can't fill them in either, even after entering the credentials manually (the auto-guess from the current page fails to find the input fields, even though they are easily found in the page source)
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.7.3.1-signed).I'm sorry to hear it can't help you. Please understand that many log-in forms break Firefox's Password Manager (or perhaps you could say it's already broken to some extent). This is documented in the FAQ on my support site. Unfortunately, you will have to use some other tool. I usually recommend iMacros for Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/imacros-for-firefox/ . I also recommend using its Master Password feature to protect your passwords stored in macros.
Note that SPE is not, nor will it ever be, a password manager, and as such, changing Firefox's password filling behavior is outside its scope.

Good job ;)

Very useful add-on. Some websites forbid to save the password.

Since the 4-letter requirement until the present ? number, letter, symbol, etc. requirements; this is THE BEST and the only one I need to use. THANKS for your hard work.

Really good.

The good
* Works
* Lots of features
* Easy to user
The bad
* For some users it's hard to find that extension. Unless you have the direct link to the extension page or you search for the correct keywords. I suggest to the author to add the search keywords: "Remember Password"

Because of the recent eBay problems with potentially compromised passwords I changed mine and FF wouldn't remember the new one. I tried deleting the eBay login entries in the Password Manager (Saved Passwords) to start over, but FF still wouldn't present the dialogue to save the login details. After trying several other add-ons I read about this one and it's worked like a charm, solving the problem because it enabled me to enter the login details manually after which the autofill worked perfectly. Also it's very easy to use.
Many thanks to the developer! (contribution on it's way)

Using an older version of FF (3.6.28) on an older Mac running OS 10.4.11 (Tiger). Version of SPE installed = 2.6.4 (not the latest presumably because of my older version of FF)

I don't know why sometimes firefox just don't want to save passwords for some sites and it has caused me headaches for a while. This helps a lot with that.

Fantastic idea. No more need for chasing after passwords by asking the site to provide a password reset via an email link for little-used accounts :)
