I too was completely annoyed by the forced crap they put into the newest update of Fast Dial.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was another addon out there that did the same thing, but better, and without the BS.
I really like how this is set up, and had I known about it sooner I would have replaced Fast Dial with this one before they decided to overwrite my search engine, and give me links to spam sites.

I highly recommend this addon, especially over an addon like 'Fast Dial' that changes your search engine, adds links, etc. Speed Dial does not have a history of this and offers nearly the same features.

One more refugee. I would have been using Speed Dial this whole time if I had taken the time to look for an Add-on myself instead of listening to a friend. Lesson learned.

After the latest fastdial is malware (for more details check the latest reviews of fastdial) I switched to SpeedDial. It is nice and simple. It asks me if I want to have it as start page and so on.

Since fast Dial has become in his new version the worst extension for firefox, i have gone to speed dial also seen in Opera. I just want to say that it is a shame to be blocked to 9 bookmarks. Else, it is a good, very good one.

Since the geniuses at Fast Dial came up with the worst extension update of all times, I installed Speed Dial and I ain't going back. This works very well.
