Utterly confusing, and does not work to sync google contacts -- maybe because it asks for confusing settings which don't map to anything, such as account name, client ID, and client secret. Instead of being clever, why not provide a place to enter the standard username and password? Sheesh.

Great plugin, but there are some issues with it, at least here:
1) (Minor) The TB plugin manager never detects and notifies updates for it, I had to visit the project home to find I was several versions behind. Even manual check on thunderbird doesn't seem to work.
2) (Major): Office 365 appointments rescheduling is a mess, sometimes the events stick at the original date/time, sometimes they are deleted, sometimes they are well managed but then tbsync reports errors in sync with some kind of conflict, and the only fix I found so far is detach and reattach the calendar. So, if it would work correctly it would be amazing, at the moment I'm still using it because it's too useful, but it's really annoying sometimes.

This plugin is awesome! Once connected to my cPanel calendars and address books, it allows me to sync data in real time with my web server as well as (and essentially with) my android devices (with the help of the "CalDAV & CardDAV provider for TbSync" plugin + the highly recommended DAVx⁵ Android app). Brilliant! :-) Setting up the whole thing is somewhat bumpy and not always 100% reliable but for almost a year now, I did not loose any valuable data -- just had to debug some failures along the way of updating, migrating and upgrading.

This was a lifesaver app as I slowly try to migrate out of Google's clutches. The steps on how to generate the permissions on the Google API site were really good. I learned a lot! Thanks for your hard work. Und noch mal vielen Dank!

Its good. But however when I update a repeated event to the calendar into my Outlook's calendar, its deleted automatically after sync. Bug?
But for 1 event that's working fine. I can see the update write in the Outlook's calendar.

It is a great add-on that I use to sync my contacts with Outlook, so that I can keep them updated on all my devices (using the add on: Provider for Exchange ActiveSync). Thank you you for keeping it up to date with the newest Thunderbird releases.

This works brilliantly most of the time. BUT every so often it will randomly ( though I think it might possibly be when there's been an update rather than truly random) refuse to accept the account credentials. No only refusing to accept the current stored credentials, but refusing to accept the password when manually retyped in (endless attempts). The account has to be deleted and set-up again.
I'd hazard a guess that it's corrupting the stored password in some manner, but refusing to replace it.

Je l'utilise pour les calendriers sous Outlook en ligne, simple et efficace.
Using it for Outlook online, very efficient. Good job.

Great and obligatory add-on. I am using it with Google Calendar and with Office-365 (calendar and address book).
The only request would be: when creating an event in Office 365, the field "Show time as" can only be "busy" or "free". Meanwhile, in Outlook, the field "Display as" can be "Free", "Working elsewhere", "Tentative", "Busy", "Out of Office". When my colleagues create a meeting with Outlook, it complains only if I am "Out of Office", which I cannot do in Thunderbird + TbSync, so they invite me to meetings during my days off, entered in Thunderbird/TbSync with "Show time as: busy".

Works well with our Windows 10 PCs.
But does not work on MacBook Pro, MacOS 10.15.7, Thunderbird 78.10.1 (64 bits) .
We cannot add accounts (Provider for CalDAV & CardDAV). It simply does nothing when selecting the option.
Tried to unsinstall all modules and re-install. With no success.

Either does not work or has stopped working with Microsoft Teams calendar events.
I am using Thunderbird 78.7, TbSync 2.20 and Provider 1.20
Suppose, I create a new meeting directly using Microsoft Teams, then the event is not synced. However, the event gets synced to Outlook 365.

Worked really well for Google accounts. Thanks for the article on enabling experimental support for the extension.

Hello
we are using the latest version of thunderbird tbsync and caldav
we have loaded 10 calendars
so far everything works fine
only one little thing is annoying
if i have loaded the calendar from the person max1 i can also give it a color in thunderbird although it is write-protected with me which is ok
but when tbsync is called and synchronized, the color changes back to the original one that the owner of max1 specified
can you change that or is it due to thunderbird or tbsync

Easy to use, functional, versatile, extendible - excellent addon! Also had to equip Outlook with DAV functionality via plugin, but that was much more of a hassle. I'm using the addon together with its Provider for CalDAV companion. THANK YOU to the author for providing this!

[HU] Nagyszerűen működik, a CalDAV- és CardDAV-integrációs moduljával szépen kezeli a nextcloudos és mailbox.org-os fiókom naptárát és névjegyeit.
[EN] Works great, with the CalDAV & CardDAV Provider both my Nextcloud and Mailbox.org account is properly synced.
