Nice, but needs the ability to remove or disconnect attachments from a message. This is possible without the Conversations extension, and should also be possible with Conversations.
(On my system (Linux Mint LDME 6) clicking or right-clicking on the three dots next to the attachment does not give the option of removing or disconnecting the attachment)
It is already possible to remove/disconnect attachments from a message. You can use the three dot menu next to the attachment display to do this (beside the download and open icons)

It doesn't work well with dark mode.

It should be included into the official release.
Hey devs: dark mode looks strange!

Very good addon. Unfortunately, it is not possible to drag and drop attachments from an email into a Windows folder. Am I doing something wrong?

this is a real game changer in thunder bird but it can be even better.
1. I have a problem when converting the email to task or event while Thunderbird Conversations is on its not working.
2. I wish I could change the order of messages to see the latest on the top.
3. I wish to see the reply forward buttons with a text on them instead of only an icon (please add forward next to reply).
Best,
Amir

It would be perfect if you could change the chronological order in which the messages in a conversation are displayed, that is, put the last email sent at the top

Bonsoir,
est-il possible de modifier l'ordre chronologique d'affiche des messages d'une conversation ? C'est à dire mettre le dernier mail envoyé en haut ?
Sinon, très belle extension ! Merci !

Really useful! It makes email friendlier and easier to manage.
Thank you for your work, Jonathan!

Permet de gagner un temps fou en affichant un résumé des messages dans un fils de conversation, au lieu de devoir afficher et lire chaque message un par un.

The extension is excellent in enhancing the usability of Thunderbird and the developer is a very helpful and attentive to user requests and questions.

A MUST HAVE!

It's a great add-on and I use for a very long time. However since upgrade to Thunderbird 115 this add-on conflicts with a Google Calendar integration and effectively kills the "Accept/Decline" Thunderbird buttons (I verified it by bisection).
It would be great if this could be fixed.
Beyond that - awesome thing!

Not "beautiful." It very much needs to become compatible with dark themes. It is a good add-on, but it is becoming "clunky" interface wise, and I find myself disabling it from time to time just to get things done. Your usage may vary from mine.

It would be a great tool if it could list the latest news at the top. The lack of this functionality significantly reduces its ergonomics. The list of messages in Thunderbird with the most recent at the top and in the extension with the most recent at the bottom causes dissonance and discomfort. Unfortunately, this is no small matter. It took me a while to understand why I'm actually having such a hard time working with such an ingenious tool.
One more thing. I don't like when objects from the same class are marked according to different taxonomy. Specifically, it's about dates. In accordance with the current fashion, they sometimes appear as classic dates, other times as days of the week, and again as references like yesterday, etc. Fortunately, the add-on allows you to turn this off. Unfortunately, the date format is probably taken from the locale. Meanwhile, my preferred format (YYYY-MM-DD), which I set in the settings editor, is not selected.

Helps me to keep my long mail threads under control and specially find the mails sent/received a while ago.
This add-on is the reason I can't move yet to Thunderbird Supernova. When will it be available for Supernova ?
Conversations was updated for Supernova a few days ago, before your review.

Nice program but only works with addressbook and not Cardbook. Maybe the author can modify it to work with cardbook.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.0.26). This user has a previous review of this add-on.Sorry, the issue with Cardbook is that Cardbook is implementing its address book integration in a non-standard way.
It has the possibility to support them in a standard way, but the Cardbook author has chosen not to provide the integration at this time. With the standard way of operating, Conversations would need no modification.
Sorry, I'm not prepared to spend extra time/work when the Cardbook add-on could be made to work in a way that it would be able to work with other add-ons without modification.

Crucial add-on which has worked pretty well until Thunderbird 115 broke it. Looking forward to seeing it active again!

It is very important that Thunderbird provides a solution for the conversations, it should have fixed this compatibility before releasing final versions. Jonathan Protzenko please help us.

Impossible to work without this extension. A must have in my opinion

Installed and immediately deleted. This extension does not work. When you select a message and the conversation gets displayed, it often mixes conversations up in a completely nonsensical way. People not involved in the conversation, displaying the wrong title, showing things out of order, etc...
It's really too bad, this idea has a lot of potential, but wow it just does not work at all in its current form. Maybe it's a bad release, but I would avoid this one.
