I've been looking for a solution to the 'no run' problem for a LONG time. Many thanks to the author! It worked just fine for me on Firefox 3.6.8. It is hard for me to understand why Firefox does not offer a RUN option. So awkward to have to save the file and then remember to delete after installing.

The addon works with Firefox 4 beta 1 and 2. But when you restart Firefox you get this error.
OpenDownload (200)
Could not initialize OpenDownload extension. TypeError: Components.class[@mozmoneky.com/opendownload/listeners;1]is underfined.
Other then that the addon still works

Works with Firefox 4. Just install addon
Add-on Compatibility Reporter. Restart the browser and then try installing any addons you want.

Though your app appears to work fine in 4.0b2, it always gives this (http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x145/ExoKiller4/Bugs%20and%20whatnot/firefox4b2startuperror.png) error upon Firefox's boot. I would be very happy if you could fix this.

..Fail. 1 star because mozilla.org won't let me give 0 stars. This doesn't work with the current windows firefox version 3.6.7.
It doesn't appear to do anything at all after a successful install...

Very useful and well done extension.
There is a non-documented feature: this addon deletes downloaded files that are 1 day old or older when firefox starts.
The only thing this addon is missing is configuration where user can select the default folder where the files should be downloaded to. Right now it's hard coded to download into %TEMP%\mozOpenDownload\ folder
It also would be nice have an option to select how long the files should be kept before being deleted.
Still the addon deserves 5 stars without these features :)

JUST what I had in mind, with one exception:
When I click on "use the Win32 application" ( which is, by the way, all I EVER need a browser to do) -- it grey's out the "always" option!!

Entendo a preocupação da Mozilla com a segurança dos seus usuários. Fazer arquivos executáveis serem salvos antes de abertos é uma pequena tarefa com grandes resultados, pois assim o usuário estranha a ação e percebe que o arquivo é executável e também o antivírus pode agir enquanto isso.
Porém, deveria existir uma opção para se executar diretamente o arquivo, sem precisa salvá-lo fora da pasta dos temporários, para usuários experientes (ou, simplesmente, para os que quiserem).
E este Complemento é excelente. Faz perfeitamente uma tarefa tão simples.
De qualquer forma, parabéns à Mozilla por este navegador OpenSource e cheio de "Add-ons" para personalizar e nos divertimos. :)

Works fine for me with exe's and msi files.
