Works, but Tiny Menu https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1455 is more compatible with Add Bookmark Here 2 https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3880 and SortPlaces https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9275 (Here in Compact Menu if you leave Bookmarks on the menu bar, SortPlaces and Add Bookmark Here won't work within this menu - they will work only in Menu->Bookmarks. I believe it's just a bug and it will be solved, but now the situation is just like that)

very nice, yet the menu-bar always appears when you bookmark a site and/or use crtl+d for that. very annoying.

One of my favourite addons!
By removing thick menu-bar it gives more space to view pages. If u see this addon first time - download, u'll be satisfied.

Very Good Extension. Just want to know how to put the icon in the side of the tabs, here it just allow to put in the regular toolbar!

Otherwise, give me a lot of space :D

Doesn't work on latest Minefield (trunk) otherwise great extension.

Does the thing, very good for laptop screen.
If on a Navigation toolbar, the button is not square, it's too narrow.

thank a lot .finally i find how to hide menu bar but it would be better if we can use this same as IE

Awesome. Just what I needed.

Please consider making a Compact Bookmark Toolbar that provides the same functionality of hiding the bookmark toolbar and allowing access through a button.

there is no icon in place of the menu. if i go to the preferences dialog window and uncheck something, it dissappears from the menu totally.

In fact tried a second time, because thought I was may be not fair with my "1 mark"
Because I'm curious (apparently sometimes stupid), tried again, without Hide Menu Bar (disabled)
and install it again...
Same bug... had to go back safe mode to disable it... sh..t !
Well, now it's up to you to convince me it can work...
OS : XP and about 20 addons working properly :-)

I think it is great; just like the first one. But this one gave me an idea. If the icon was in the status bar it could offer the option to turn off the menu bar and the tabs bar and double as a tabs switcher. Then it would be extra perfect for reading the news and whatnot.

This add-on is fine until it conflicts with the Hide Menubar add-on. It won't let you hide the menubar while its enabled, and (because alt opens the menu) alt cannot toggle visibility for the menu anymore. If this were fixed, I'd be more inclined to use/recommend it.
