well i'm not one to complain but if ya want ya can still get the 3.0.0 ver. from the github site
only reason i would complain is that after installing windows today and tried to get all my settings back that the download link is broken but oh well ya can't have everything these days can ya
but don't get me wrong its a awesome addon i use it on all my computers with firefox and thunderbird
but it just seems the addon has not been posted to the download server is all or prolly changing it out maybe for the 3.1.1 ver. tho thats just my guess but who knows really except for the developer

Ok folks gonna let you in on a little secret it is still available.A very talented programmer/coder named Frank Lion has Compact Menu for FF 3.6 on his site here http://franklion.co.uk/CMB-N/cmb.html while you are there take a look at his Themes you might remember them from a while back they were quite famous and he keeps them updated.He know longer puts his stuff on here for reasons i am not sure of maybe a little disgruntled and a touch surly...kidding Mr Lion.
Be sure to go into customize menu and drag the icon to toolbar and then hide your menubar and presto.

Very nice.
I do have a tip for anyone who also uses the Personal Menu extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3895). To hide the Menu Bar, you will need to go into Personal Menu's options/preferences, go to the Advanced tab and check the Hide Menus Toolbar.
Evidently, Personal Menu overrides the hide prefs in Compact Menu and Firefox.

I love this add-on for it's simplicity. All I wanted to do was replace the Menu Bar with an icon, and that's exactly what this add-on does! No unnecessary features to bog my browser down. It even allows you to choose your own icon for it, so it doesn't ruin your theme! Please don't add or remove anything from this add-on, it's perfect. 本当にありがとうございます ！

If you just want a bookmark button, i recommend doing an add-on search for "bookmark button". Or use one of the many custom button add-ons that are available.

If the Menu Bar is still visible, right-click it, and uncheck "Menu Bar".

Love it. Works nicely in combination with All-in-one Sidebar. Control is a good thing. The more actual web page you can see the better. Thank you!

I would ask this on the support page but it is in some east asian language. But is there any chance i could enable this addon only for the bookmarks menu and not have it disable the Firefox menubar?
What do i have to modify in about:config to not have this addon disable the main menu bar.
I played with some settings and i got the main menu bar to reapear but with no text.

I've installed. I pricipially works, but...
when I press the options button out of the addon-manger i get:

So this thing takes away the "menubar" items, the icon does absolutely nothing, and the check boxes in the "customization" window do nothing. Then if I shut my "addons" window, I have to go manually into extensions to remove this thing. And what are you referring to by "compact menu"?

But I can't fathom the motivation behind a vertical stack of THREE icons !??!
Yes, the Menu Bar can be removed but the Nav Bar is twice as fat with that stupid triple-stack icon.
