The extension does NOT work!!! Taking away a feature from a previous version is not exactly what I call an upgrade!!!

Strange it says it is not compatible with Thunderbird 3.0 in french Waiting or going back to 2 ?

I just installed TB3.0 but I can't install Extra Folder Columns. I keep getting a message that it's not compatible with TB3.0. Please help. Thank you.

Why does TB ignore read messages!?! (Previous and Next buttons are the same :-().
Any chance of updating it to allow TB 3.0.*, so people don't have to edit the install.rdf themselves...

you have to go to yourprofile\extensions\extra-cols@jminta_gmail.com\chrome\content there you find the main.js. Open it with an texteditor an search:
switch (aColName) {
case “folderNameCol”:
Then delete the three lines wich starts with - in front of them. After that insert the lines with the + ...

Don´t forget to save the file an then start Thunderbird.

Will there be a localized version in the future? Or can you tell us, which file has to be changed to localize "unread", "size" & "total" in the folderpane?

I´m using this addon an TB 3.0f with the fix and all ist fine.

It's easy enough to patch to work for release candidates. Open the xpi file with 7zip (or winzip or whatever) and change the line 14 to say
3.1

which should make it work for now. Same as psik0tik's advice except won't expire with next release candidate.

There are some issues with the add-on like the folder size doesn't seem to be accurate.

One fix: shouldn't the information be bolded as well when there are unread messages?

download xpi file. open with Winrar. Extract install.rdf, line 14 replace "3.0b4pre" by "3.0b4", drag&drop the new install.rdf in winrar. now install the new xpi.

I've no idea how to change "install.rdf" and I regard Total Message count as vital in controlling folders.
As Peterl said should be standard and this addon is mentioned in release notes

Did the suggested change of maxVersion and it works perfectly for me. I do not see any renaming of inbox folders.
Just too bad it is no longer standard.

well, it's working with 3.0b4 if you change the maxVersion in "install.rdf" but all the inbox folders are renamed...

Columns view of "smart-folder" is not supported.
