Just to clarify, it works on 'Folders' (subfolders) but not on the native ones such as Inbox and Sent (which I also call folders), right ?
The 'Colored Folders....' option is greyed out for those ones.

Hello Lab5,
I loaded the Colored Folders Add-on, but when I right-click on a folder to open the dropbox, the 'Color Folder' text is grayed-out and does not function. I un-installed and re-installed it a second time with the same results. I then created a new folder under Local Folders, and that new folder was able to be colored. Anyway, this would be a great add-on if it worked properly as I am very visually organized. Regardless, thank you for all your hard work to make such a cool add-on for Thunderbird and I hope it will work in the future. All the best, David.

I'm very happy with this addon as it helps me visually find the 'email categories' for my saved emails much faster. I have some vision issues and this is definitely a blessing.

I would like to suggest a minor update, please:

Would it be possible to have the list show what color you have currently chosen for a specific folder?

Example, I chose a shade of blue for a category... when I add a new folder to that cat, it's hard to determine which blue I previously used (unless I write it down somewhere).

If I choose a colored folder and go to the color list, it would be very helpful if the current color was highlighted in some way... maybe underlined or in italics?

Other than that, great job :)

Sorry, but it does not work at all on Thunderbird v77.02b.
The REMOVE button does not work either so it's now in my machine ... unable to remove.

I need this to work with Phoenity Icons, which it does not. I tried the link to the support site, but there doesn't appear to be anywhere to file a bug report on that page. Fix the problem and this will be a 5-star addon.

We are forced to choose between the DeepDark theme and ColoredFolders extension since last update, deepdark folder colors stay when I try to change it.
It is a wonderful extension to add colors to our mails anyway

I LOVE this add-on, but it does not seem to be working on the latest Thunderbird 68.7.0

Please fix it, I can not live without this app!

Mmmm, yes but... I don't get the old colour palette. It was not the best in the world, but it had a certain richness of choice, and some sort of logical arrangement. Instead, what I have now is a vertical list, where picking colours of similar hues but different lightness is much harder work, and there are far fewer colours to choose from. Hopefully some kind of user error at work here.

As far as future development is concerned, why not use a standard palette (e.g., something provided by the OS)? It would provide a greater choice of colour, most likely any colour we want.

Bonjour, très bon plug-in, mais cette nouvelle version est en conflit avec le nouveau theme DeepDark.
Les couleurs des dossiers ne fonctionne plus une fois le theme activé.

What Language specifically are you missing ?
The standart language should actually be english - Is it not ?
If it is not then it's a bug - please give me feedback.
I am definitely planing to implement more languages !

At first I didn't think it was working. I tried colouring a top level folder and the add-on was grayed out. However it works on any sub-folders. So it seems to work, thanks!

I am planning to include the colorability of thos special folders as well. Will need a little time, but will very probably do.

Unter thunderbird 68.4.2, win 10 läuft das addon leider nicht. Habe es auf dem Notebook und dem PC vergeblich versucht, das addon zum Laufen zu bringen. Auch das Deaktivieren aller addons, danach Neustart und dann das Aktivieren des "Farbige Ordner"-Addons klappte nicht.

Doesnt work. Installs, but "Colored Folders... >" is greyed out and does nothing. Really was hoping this would work.

TBird 68.4.2, Addon version 1.3.5 (feb 3). Windows 8.1.

Tried removing all other addons and themes, still did not work.

Great! Is there a way to make this work on a shared email account. For example, If I color a folder, my colleague can see the same colored folder? Thanks!
