please update for version 136 and above ... had to downgrade to 128. Can't go without this plugin, I wonder why Ihunderbird doesn't have it built in to delete attachments from many emails at once. My mailbox would explode without this plugin..

Worked great except the save dialog says to click cancel to use original filenames and that just cancels the process. I deleted everything except the %filename% macro and it worked great! It even handled multiple attachments with the same filename.

Works great on Fredora 40 with TB 128.8.1esr (64-bit).
issue:
- when delete multiple files(over 100) the prompt windows does not show the OK/Cancel button on the bottom(widows without slider on the side so it expand with the number of files to process).
- some files still not able to be extracted("Unable to save the attachment, Please check your filename and try again later") without anyy clue about which files failed (no file name or email info/subject return)
Improvements:
- let have an option to delete if file extraction succeed
- let's save the folder to save attachment, no prompt each time

Great app. But I use to be able to change the setting from
%date%_%fromMail%_%subject%_%filename% To only %filename%, so when I was selecting the files it always saves it with the file name and nothing else. Now I have to change this every time when I'm selecting the emails

It worked quite fine a while ago, but now it extracts only 15 files from a maildir with 161 mails.

Doesn't work. I select all emails with jpeg attachments, it asks for destination folder, then the folder is empty.

Fait le job. Ce que je cherchais : exporter (facile sans cet ad-on) et effacer l'image incluse dans le texte (facile avec lcet ad-on, vraiment difficile sans !)

This Add-on saves me so much time! My use case: remove attachments from emails for reduced archive weight - I manually save any important attachments, and previously I'd have to click on that little down-caret to the right of the Save icon in the attachment tray at the bottom of the message, then click on Delete, then on OK. That's already fiddly, but when I want to clear out attachments from several emails it's a long slow process, and if the attachment's an inline image, I have to first view the email as Plain Text to be able to then Delete the inline image, then revert to Original HTML! Enter this Add-on and I can select a load of emails, right-click, select Attachment Extractor > Delete attachments > OK, and when the next OK pop-up appears, and it's done - all attachments, including inline images, gone, with filenames of the attachments sensibly left where the attachments were in the email. This saves me hours of time!

Best addon and one of the must have...since TB does not have one... just add option to add as button in toolbar. Great work.

Great little add on - used it for ages - recent problems : didn't save or allow to select folder:FIX - when prompted for %this%that%other - delete all but %filename% and this seems to get it to work with 128.2 / mac /catalina 10.15.7
