what a great add-on!! thank you so very much for this! i hated to select a link first, than copy it, than paste into another tab! but with this great extension all the plain text links are converted into the proper links :D:D:D thank you so much again!!

love it. like to keep it turning green so i can distinguish if it was originally a text link or not, BUT would love to have the option for it to change to another color after i have clicked on it . can you please add this option and it can't get any better. thankyou kindly!

I've found this extension useful, until v1.3.5. When I upgraded Linkification from v1.3.3 to v1.3.5 in Firefox 3.0, the extension installed, but it disabled downloading. Disabling Linkification cure the fault. I contacted the devs weeks ago about this, but I haven't received any reply. v1.3.3. works well, when Force Installed using Nightly Tester Tools.

This is one of those extensions that should be integral part of FF.
It does have problems sometimes with detecting the full length of the link, but overall, very useful.

One of the greatest Firefox addons.
It works exactly as at supposed to. It seems to be able to convert every text link, even with some symbols before it ( _http fgshttp for example).
I turned off autoconvertion (i prefer double clicking), so this addon doesn't consume processor power.
Very useful.

@Alex: disable "Thorough Mode" as it on some sites causes CPU usage to go to 100% = bug.
Other than that, really useful add-on, have been using it in a long time.

I have a dozen of tabs in the window, when I restart firefox3, it took 15 minutes to reload. Firefox was not responsive and CPU usage is 100% and memory used by Firefox goes up and down in a cycle. After I disabled this add-on, restoring session is really fast, taking less than 2 minutes and Firefox is responsive during the restoration.

Linkification is one of the few must-have Firefox extensions (along with Adblock Plus, Foxmarks, etc).
