I'm with JezUK... this should come native in TB.
I'm sad that this extra still isn't working on the lastest versions, even so... props to Leszek.

Nearly perfect - just needs the button to be more obvious that it's activated, perhaps change the text or button background colour.

But why this isn't standard in Thunderbird beats me as it's so obvious Return Receipts are more of an 'as needed' rather than globally always required (where they end up being ignored eventually).

As other's have said, it works on 60.05.01.

You can continue to use the addon in TB60.5.
1.Menu-Tools-Options-Advanced-Config.editor
2.Look for "extensions.strictCompatibility" and set it to FALSE.

It works well.
I'd like to set up "return receipt" ON, by default on every email. And set up it OFF, just sometimes on few emails.

This extension makes managing return receipts a lot easier. It's becomes so obvious it makes you wonder why this functionality isn't included out of the box.
