Для русскоязычных пользователей -- работает быстро, но хреново блокирует рекламу в рунете.
Works fast as rocket, but percent of blocked ads in local (russian&ukrainian) sites is poor. To solve this I think it would be great to have possibility to add custom blocking rules.

This addon does what the developper intend it to be (that is blocking 80-90% of the ads based on a list of .com and .net domain) so I won't complain in this review and I decided to wrote a more positive one. I will give it 5 stars now that I have a better understanding of what it's actually meant to be. I only have one question though, How often does the blocking lists are updated and does BlueHell Firewall uses the Easylist as well as EasyPrivacy? (Anti-trackers[very important these days..]). Thanks for your work.

Read the last two reviews, and was certainly troubled by them. Look. This addon is so light compared to Adblock and blocks almost as much. I haven't had much trouble with Youtube and other sides. Adding custom filters is not included for the light weight's sake. (So complaining that there's no custom filter is kind of pointless, don't you think? Use Adblock or something if you need that "control.") Thanks again for Bluhell.

Top-Addon - fegt nicht ganz so gründlich wie die Dickschiffe Adblock Plus oder Adblock, aber das kann man auch bei der schlanken und effizienten Programmierung nicht erwarten. Beim "normalen" Surfen im Internet schützt es super. Ich konnte keine negativen Dinge damit erleben. Wenn ich allerdings meinen zweiten PC als Internetstreamer und TV nutze, dann läßt er einige nervige Werbung durch. Nur in diesem Falle schlägt sich Adblock Plus besser.
+ keine umständliche Konfiguration nötig wie bei NoScript, das selbst schon Profis überfordert
+ sehr schlank und schnell (Speicherverbrauch nur 133 kB)!
5 Sterne trotzdem, weil dieses kleine Addon riesiges leistet!

Until I read about this one and saw how bloated adblocker plus is!! everything loads faster. I feel like I have my laptop back. Ok, i had other issues, but this has been a really nice simple alternative that packs a punch. There is a new ad column on FB that I've never seen before. This addon doesn't block it, but It could be new. Either way, I'm happy. Well done.

there should be a menu that would allow a user to pick and choose which sets of filters they want to enable. the ad blocking needs to be off by default and any pop-up/malware/phishing filters obviously need to be on by default. Also something that would be nice is to make it so that you could sync it with your firefox account and even pick and choose which youtube channels get to show you ads. Also the malware, phishing and pop-up filters should have exclusions menus of their own that act independently of each other and the exclusions for the ad blocking rules. there could also be a tutorial menu like what ghostery shows when you first install it. if you develop this addon and you have read this somewhat poorly worded comment, i thank you personally. before i forget...all cookies from ad networks need to be blocked from being downloaded unless deliberately allowed by the user

Hmm, you forgot to ask for the moon...

Seriously, if you need all that use any of the alternatives, Bluhell won't become another bloated ad-blocker/privacy-protector.

Btw, about cookies... the domains are blocked before Firefox creates the HTTP request, so not only cookies are blocked already, but even DNS servers aren't reached as well.

From my experiments, this uses much less RAM than Adblock Plus and Adblock. Consequently, browsing is faster since my phone doesn't run out of RAM as much. It also works even when Firefox is first started (doesn't work in AdBlock Plus).

However, it doesn't block ads in search engine search results, which is a pity since they're probably the ads I see the most anyway.

Bluhell is my fav little secret weapon. It's simple, just works, and gets out of your way. Saves you from AdBlock's unbelievable resource bloat. I dread having to open Safari and be reminded how awful it was to use, maintain, and engage with AdBlock—what a waste of time. Been using on several work/home computers for over two years. I've never looked back. Proud ex-Adblock user and anti-bloat fanatic.
