Bang commands save me from having to create keyword bookmarks, and results straight from DuckDuckGo are usually comparable to those from Google. Pretty good for a little guy! I set DuckDuckGo as the default search engine for any browser I'm using.

I'm using Firefox 11 and I'm trying to install this thing.
I get this stupid message " sorry but you need a mozilla based browser such as Firefox to install a search plugin".

I haven't found any issues using DuckDuckGo in place of Google. I've been using it for a couple of months and its great. In many ways, especially the interface, its better than Google. I also love that I don't have to worry about filter bubbles.

This is THE best search engine at the moment, period. It's fast, clean, it offers you relevant search results. You should at least give it a try, I did and left Google for good.

The best search engine hands down, now if only they'd come out with privacy centered browser addons and maybe a reliable email service it would be good, but don't knock it, you can't beat it...Fuck google, bing, et al!

Duck Duck Go is among the few newer sites that I have found to have both quality technology behind it, an acceptable philosophy - no "don't be evil" malarkey - and that duck logo is pretty cute, no? If anything, it seems to fairly deprecate Scroogle, which I find I have no use for anymore.

DuckDuckGo is fast, private and give great search results. It's is also the move configurable and full-featured search engine that you will find. There's no reason not to use it and many, many reasons to stop using Google and Bing! !

As others here I consider this search engine as a most valuable alternative to other engines which for some have become totally bloated. No longer an alternative, DuckDuckGo is from now on my default search engine. It is brilliant, lacks nothing, offers more, including absolute privacy, with or without cookie (for settings). Definitely a must, IMO.

This is the best search engine ever! Clean without screen real estate taken up by ads or search results that are trying to sell you something. I found myself becoming very frustrated with google about 2 months ago when it seemed that the search results that came up started not having relevant information to the search keywords I was using... and having to sift through multiple pages to finally find what I was looking for. Not the case with the Duck! No more of that nonsense and just plain ol' great search results. It is well worth adding this to firefox and then running some search tests on both google and the Duck. You'll get a much better understanding of why you'll never want to use another search engine again. Add it to firefox now!
