I had this theme installed long time, but for some reason I changed back to default in some point. As I was feeling adventurous again, I switched back to it and could just remember how refreshing is to look at TB's window when it's active, even though messages themselves are not changed in any way (it challenges my eyes a bit, but it's more than ok). Very pleasant theme to work, study, get updated, even just to see each of the details. :-)Only "problem" I'm facing (but trying to get used to it) is I can't tell which one is the highlighted message in message list. I like the striped view (to that subtle clue for each line, great!), but if the current message is one with the lighter background, I can't tell where it is. Also, when I'm selecting a group of messages and then I decide to select an isolated one (navigating with Ctrl-Up|Down), I also can't see where the cursor is at.Maybe it's by design, maybe it's because I'm an avid keyboard user... anyway, I'm trying to get used to that, but if there's some hack I can do, please someone let me know! ;-)

EDIT: Never mind, I found my way into the CSS. Took me 2 hours but I'm happy to have solved it (http://userstyles.org/styles/96044/tt-deepdark-change-msg-list-highlight-selection). Still, I'm just curious if it was by design or not. Thanks!

best work in themedesign on blackstyes. only font-color in lightgreen or yellow was better for different font styles in mails an basic settings.

Thanks steva, I was not liking the default theme for Thunderbird at all. Thanks again for all the hard work to make our TB a more beautiful thing. Now... how do I disable upgrades in Thunderbird so we don't go through this again?? I'm using Chakra Linux btw.

Btw people ..if you have a paypal account ...its really like 2 or 3 clicks to donate....and you dont have to send 2.99 u can send less ..or more :D as you please.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...this is hands down the best theme ever developed for TBird (or any Mozilla offer).I, and I suspect almost all of the many people who use your excellent themes, are more than happy to wait for updates after the TBird dev's break things.

Very good job. Great style. The best theme for TB IMO.
People working on TB should probably provide a better API for the themes, otherwise the developers will be sick of it; spending too much time in correcting bugs anytime a new version is released.

I also registered to comment because ers2258 acted like a jerk. This theme is great. I have been using it for a while now on both Thunderbird and Firefox, and everything else (e.g. the default themes) just feels clunky and way too bright. I wish EVERYTHING had a DeepDark theme. In fact, because of this theme, I've actually installed the stylish add-on and have made some of the pages I visit regularly resemble it because I like it that much.
After the latest Thunderbird update destroying this theme, I'm reluctant to update my Mozilla software. I wish they would push out security fixes separately from the aesthetic stuff.
Anyway, Steva, sorry ers2258 was a jerk. The rest of us really do appreciate all of the work you've done on this theme in the past and hope you'll get the new one out whenever possible. Thanks for an awesome set of themes.

The guy ↓ below is an a$$hole. Don't listen to him, you make the best themes. Can't wait till you finish the new one. Take your time, you probably have a life and get to shoot loads of heroine into your dick while #!$@ing underage hookers from other countries. I appreciate the effort you put into your work I think you should find a way to integrate the Carbon Pro Persona into your updated version for Thunderbird.

I decided to register and post a review after reading ers2258's comments.
This is a fantastic theme. I've been using it for Thunderbird and FT Deepdark for Firefox for a while now. They are the best dark themes I have ever used for Thunderbird and Firefox.
I am grateful for the work steva has put into these projects in his free time, and appreciate how difficult/annoying it must be to try to keep up with Mozilla's new rapid release cycles. I am a programmer and completely understand how much effort it can take to create updates to fix things you didn't break. Don't let the few ungrateful people out there get to you.
Even if steva stopped updating these themes it wouldn't change the excellent work that was put into them. 5 stars all the way.

We're waiting for update to TB17, because version 3.0.6 works but are little problems with windows buttons ;)
