One of my favorites. Lately, tho, I have been getting emails, and the notifier doesn't always go off. IE, I just found a mail that arrived at 616p, and the notifier never went off.

Well, it definitely does what it's meant to do. I'm not sure why, but this extension gives me problems (tells me that the username/password combination is incorrect) sometimes - though this can be fixed by switching to one of my account alibis. If you're using multiple Yahoo accounts with the same installation of Firefox, don't forget to right click > logout before signing on as a different user! I got logged out several times before realizing this.

Is there a way to set this so that it only counts the inbox and not other folders that you may have?

My ISP uses yahoo mail with an @btinternet.com email address. I've tried other webmail extensions and could never get them working with the btinternet email address.

This one works perfectly which means I can now finally uninstall the yahoo toolbar.

日本の、私のようにあまりadd-onについて詳しくないユーザーの為にお知らせします。
日本語画面において、このアドオンの名前は「Yahoo Japan! Mail Notifier 1.0.0.16」と表示されていますが、実際には日本のYahoo!Japan メールには対応していません。

ほかの国、例えば同じアジアでも台湾やシンガポールのYahoo!Mailはアメリカのそれと同じサーバーを使用していますが、日本のYahoo!Japanメールはそれ独自のサーバーを使用しているようなので、このアドオンでメールチェックは出来ないようになっています。
（すいません、yahooのユーザーであり、開発者ではないので私には正確に説明できないのですが、とりあえず他の各国のYahoo!Mailと日本の物は全く別物です。Yahoo！が提供している事は間違いないのですが。）
ただ、しかし、このAdd-onは日本以外のYahoo!Mailをチェックするには十分用が足りるものであると考えます。
ですからタイトルに出ているYahoo!Japan Mail Notifyは間違っていますがYahoo!Mailを
としては機能しているものに対して評価を下げてしまうのも苦しいので☆３つにしております。

この作者か、Mozillaの担当者のどちらが日本語画面では「Yahoo!Japan Mail Notify」と表示する間違いを犯したのかは分かりませんが、いち早くこの事実に気づいて頂き、日本語画面での「Yahoo!Japan Mail Notify」を削除して「Yahoo! Mail Notifier（NotYahoo!Japan）」として頂くか、若しくは日本のYahoo!JapanMailのチェックも行える機能も次のバージョンで追加して頂けたら心より幸いに思います。
また、私はこの文章が誰か英語が得意な方の手によって翻訳してお知らせいただける事を望みます。

Just what I needed! Bad thing is that you need to have the browser running so it can work. It won't notify if you do not have the browser running. :( And yes it notifies for Inbox only, which is quite unreasonable.

It's useful, but lately it has been notifying me about emails NONSTOP, but in reality, I have no emails. Very buggy.

excellent plugin, but yahoo mail is still a trainwreck which causes many problems not related to the brilliant execution of this plugin; peep this article for essentially everything wrong with yahoo mail:

Yahoo! Mail Notifier does not work well when you have more than one e-mail address on Yahoo Mail and it's annoying !!
