very useful feature, should be integrated @ thunderbird itsself because big IT drifts like USIT at university of Oslo do not support AddOns and this function in Thunderbird is a very handy function which is missed by a lot of users ...

Very useful. Ignore version check and install (if still doesnt work google the solution to change the xpi - pretty easy)

Hallo SysTray Experts,

It would be great to have following menu items integrated, when clicking on the systray button:

- Add new date
- Add new task

This would be most helpful and efficient.

Great add-on. One of the Top10 must-have ones.

Tried (for Firefox 3.0.6) the workaround suggested by By_Myself and worked like a charm. And the add-on also works. :)

Sehr gutes Add-on ich vermisse aber noch eine Option. Man könnte noch einbauen das Thunderbird gleich minimiert startet. Das wäre gut für leute die es dan mit dem System starten wollen. Man könnte das ja in die Version einbauen.

Es gibt mittlerweile ein neues AddOn auf dieser Seite:

Das alte MinimizeToTray wird nicht mehr weiterentwickelt.

Das neue ist sowohl zu FF 3.x als auch TB 3.x kompatibel. :)

To make it "work" in firefox 3.x, just open the .xpi file in your zip program, then open and edit(In note/wordpad) install.rdf.
Then look for:

and

just change 2 to 4 or your current firefox version.

But if you are as lasy as me, then just get it here:

All i changed was maxVersion to 4.
But I cant guarantee it works for you.
