very weird behaviour with close duplicate tabs. Also closes tabs that are not duplicates. probably due to the fact that I have like 200 tabs open.

This extension works fine in firefox 3.6
A configurable button for toolbar would be perfect! ;-)

@Drakulian - I had this problem too.
I found "ColorfulTabs" (v4.1 as I type) conflicted with "Closy" (v1.4.0). I will live without pretty colors for my tabs so I can close dup tabs (why this addon is fantastic). So "ColorfulTabs" got disabled and "Closy" works well.
PS To author of "Closy" maybe you can research the conflict with "ColorfulTabs" and hopefully resolve the problem? Thanks!

I don't need all the feature from TabMixPlus, so I'm very happy with this add-on!
@Drakulian: It doesn't disappeared in the last years on my PC, maybe you have another add-on that doesn't cooperate with it...

Provides a couple of useful features. It should be integrated in TabMixPlus.

I have used this extension for about nine months now and must say that it is rubbish.
When it works it's fine, unfortunately it only works about half of the time, nearly always disappearing midway through any and every browser session. When I say "disappear" I mean that it vanishes from my right-click menu entirely as though it was never enabled or installed. I must then always manually "closy" Firefox and begin a new session for to return, only to repeat the same rubbishy cycle over and over again. Needless to say I disabled and then uninstalled it.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ADD-ON.

Works like a charm for me! Using FF 3.03 on Win XP SP3 and Tab Mix Plus 0.3.7.3 version. Thanks to the reviewer below link to the later build. Now I've found a new add-on called Close Duplicate tabs at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6748 that simply uses a status bar icon to close duplicates since this doesn't add-on provide one. Thank you for such a useful FF add-on extension which provides extra options too, maybe you could update it with a tool bar and status bar icon with options..

As Closy 1.4.0 seems to disappear from time to time with FF 3.0.x, I dug compiled version 1.5.0 which seems to work perfectly. It can be found here:

I have no idea why it's not made officially public but the page offers a version over 2 years old. Likely the author is not happy with it, but I am :)

A tiny but very useful plugin. Too bad 1.4.0 won't work with Tab Mix Plus - a must-have for me.

When you deal with hundreds of tabs at a time mixed with saving sessions and loading them, you are bound to get blanks and duplicate tabs.
Also when you search a website and no longer need to look at its tabs, you can close all tabs from that source without closing the other open tabs. Brilliant.
