works OK... other users have noted they only get broken images but: if you press <shift> and click, it will work fine -- or -- go to the addon Options > Preferences and click the box next to "Always insert character instead of image by default"... now the image should display without using <Shift>

This on Debian 13, XFCE, Thunderbird 140.15.0esr (64-bit)
