This add-on completely screwed me. It started popping up thousands, literally thousands, of X terminals, each with something about curl. There was no way to stop it - switching workspaces, killing Firefox, nothing worked. It just kept popping up thousands of X terminals. When I finally killed it, all of my Gnome window preferences were screwed up, and I had to manually reconfigure my entire desktop. It was a complete, inexcusable, unmitigated disaster.

Thanks for that great experience!
I have never seen 1534 rxvt windows with cURL before.
Anyway, what about to note somewhere that "Download all" function does nothing with queues?

upd: i just found, it works boringly ordinary with wget, no creative innovations at all: just one window and sequrntial download.

This is one of those Add-ons that I immediately install every time I install Firefox. It would be even better if this functionality was built right into Firefox.

Anyway, I find it invaluable. It gets used every day. Very fast and well implemented. It can be accessed quickly but is unobtrusive.

I have installed FlashGot on Firefox 3.0.1. It works well with Free Download Manager. I had previously been unable to obtain a batch download, but was able to do so easily once I installed FlashGot.

It is a superb add-on to manage your downloads. Also very useful if you do not trust the native built-in manager or want to use the independant download managers.

It has a great list of popular & not-so-popular download managers which it will automatically detect & relay the download. You can even assign unlisted managers to it. If it does not work out then you can just provide the author (Giorgio Maone) with a request for the usage of the manager with FlashGot.

It will also provide with a variety of downloading options, similar to those with download manger's BHOs(Browser Helper Objects) at IE.
