Not brilliant, and almost unusable under linux. Surely it would easier to add application autodetection under linux than under windows?

It is suppose to work with all Thunderbirds, up to the version 3.0a1, but when you install it in any 2.0.0.* you get a message telling you it only works from versions 0.5 to 1.5.* It´s a pitty because it's very usefull

Needs a little fixing up here and there, but with a custom XML file, this is a definite must-have extension. I love it and plan to contribute to its development.

Good but hasn't been updated in a looong time, and has major bugs, such as the inability to send links to applications.

Launchy 4.2.0
This extension does not appear to work as promised (tried using Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.13 and Netscape Navigator 9.0.0.6).
(i) It does not recognize a number of properly installed applications that it claims to be able to recognize;
(ii) it doesn't let me change the selected applications that appear as icons on the menu (other than to eliminate them);
(iii) it does not let you configure a program of your choosing (except by manually creating an xml file in your profile);
(iv) the profile/chrome/launchy.xml file as configured with the author's website also does not work, regardless of which type of application I put in, or how I write the path.
(v) There should be a "browse to" option under every known but unrecognized application; it's the simplest thing in the world.... but the author of this extension makes it so much harder than it has to be. As a result, the extension is useless.
The IE Tab extension lets me enter the path to an application of my choice, but I want a second one that opens in my mail client. How friggin hard is that? My installed mail clients are: Outlook, Netscape 4.8, Netscape 7.2, Messenger 9, Thunderbird 2, and Seamonkey 1.1; the only one it found was Outlook. Give me a break!

Now I don't need IE View, nor (not updated recently) Opera View - everything in one plug-in :-)
Thanks
