Been using this extension since the first time I used FF. However, it would be nice if it got updated to be compatible with FF3.*. I know how to edit the install-file to make it compatible myself, but that's not very user friendly :-) ...

It works.

1. Open xpi file with winzip.
2. Open install.rdf and change -> 3.*
3. Save all.
4. Install modified xpi file...

Works great with Thunderbird.

Instead of taking up valuable taskbar space it now sits in the system tray.

Wonderful.

This would have solved my problem of Firefox taking such a long time to load when I first start it up... but I need it for Firefox 3... Please update? Thank you so much if you would!

I have loved MinimizeToTray ever since I found it. If it is not going to be compatible with newer versions of FireFox, I will go back! [although I would rather not]

There are some glitches with the addon when used with Thunderbird, and I'm hoping that it'll be made compatible with 3.0.

I love it. Adds some great functionality when taskbar space is precious.

I've updated it to be a "2.9" version which works wth Thunderbird 3.0 alphas. Works as intended for me.

Just open the XPI in WinZip or WinRar and edit install.rdf where it says "2.0*" to say:
3.*

Works like a charm :) Don't forget to re-zip up all the files and rename it to an "xpi" file and install it.

I have no idea, Why this superb functionality can't be directly part of Mozilla thunderbird 3.
I am using the Nightlies of Thunderbird 3. and I just hate that this add on is not compatible to it.

Es una opcion, que thundrbird si deberia incluir como default, un gran error entre los desarrolladores de thundrbird (tambien la compatibilidad con MS Exchange, aunque ya se que ahi es mas cuestion de licencias)

It was great until i switched to Firefox 3 RC 1, are there any plans to make this available for Firefox 3 RC 1, if not can i get the code, permission and some more information on how you did this so that i could look into making a new one for firefox 3 RC 1 also this might sound odd but you might want to check out Minimize To Tray Enhancer https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2831 and maybe see if you could combine the two addons into one.

открыть скаченный xpi-файл с помощью архиватора, например, winrar...
подправить install.rdf на 0.8 (в комментах это уже описывалось)...
сохранить и на запрос "обновить ли архив" - Да...
тут главное чтоб архив не пересоздавался; у меня только так проканало ;)
