I really don't know why I didn't search for such an add-on until now. It's just want I wanted.

Great addon, I use it for many years but i would like some more features like:
a) blinking when i have new email
b) make it check for new email some seconds later at firefox start. (I know about the dont check at start option but its not exactly the same)

This is an excellent add-on and it only seems to have stopped working properly since Yahoo switched to the new mail version. How many people have been using this for years and only decided to rate it (poorly) now because it's temporarily broken?

The link the author has posted has an extra character, which is why the Mozilla says it can't find the page you're looking for. Just remove the ) from the end of the link in the address bar:

It doesn't work on FF7, no notifications just says I have no mail all the time.

heh, thought I lost you, buddy. been days since my mail worked right.
The new yahoo is to blame, I'm sure of it. they removed tons of useful stuff.
most links to the update didn't work for me, but this one from CHW did:

this has always been one of the most practical add-ons I ever found. I use it all day long.

worked fine before, but fails to connect since a few days

was working and has many features but now its stopped!!! get a message when i hover over the envelope on the bar inside firefox.................failed to connect to yahoos servers while checking for mail. Has yahoo servers changed to render this useless now?

I'm so happy, like Yahoo Mail, Gmail, add a unique logo Yahoo logo would be great if it was modified.
If mail verification is the add-ons change the logo, I'd love it if you could at least go was pretty.

I am using Firefox 5 and installed this addon. It completely corrupted my Yahoo account and I have been unable to log back in. I uninstalled and removed this addon and I still can't log into Yahoo Mail.

It's ok. For Firefox 4, if you do View->Toolbars->Add-on Bar it will display the status bar again and you can see the mail icon (I didn't need to do this on one machine, did on another, weird).
My biggest annoyance is that the plugin doesn't handle an already open yahoo mail tab well at all. I've lost several emails I've had open because when I clicked on the mail icon for this plugin, it reloaded the mail window losing anything I had open.

Five-star rating dropped to one star.
No apparent support since June 2010; "works" with Firefox4 but 100% useless because Firefox4 no longer has a "statusbar" at the bottom of the screen (where YMN puts its icon).

Works great, but please change addressbar icon to the same one you make in Statusbar.

Worked for a little while but now it'll pop up with me having 2 emails every few minutes and there's nothing in there. Having too many problems with this which sucks because I really, really liked it.

Used for a while. Very good tool. Then annoyingly started saying I had new mail when I didn't so uninstalled it
