when i start firefox it checks and notifies me of updates already via a popup. ??????????
i will rate it a 4 as not to skew your ratings due to my ignorance.
You don't get visual notifications for updates with Firefox 3. This extension gives you updates while your browser is still running and during startup. Also, you get notifications when updates are available. Please check the forums in the future if you have any questions.

"I'll definitely be updating the extension for use with FF3 (and others) including update notifications for the browser itself. I'm sorry for the lack of updates but I've been quite consumed with working on the Gmail Manager extension which I'm thankfully close to releasing (for use with FF3). As soon as I get a release out for Gmail Manager I'll begin my development shift towards Update Notifier."

I love Update Notifier! Everything goes 100% automatic. My extensions are always the newest version.
But could you please update it to work with Fx 3? It is working, but it wont install the updates automatically ... :(

Invaluable for all firefox users that use addons.
Please get this working properly with Firefox 3, it works when overriding version checking, but clicking the icon then trying to access the addons window doesn't work this way.

i really love adding extensions to make Firefox do everything i want it to do (and none of what i don't want it to), but i really Really REALLY love extensions that make handling all my extensions easier. instead of having to remember to manually check for updates, this one plain old TELLS ME! how cool is that?

Hi, i've recently updated to the new version 0.1.5.3 and the upper icon have disappeared. I'm using a spanish version of firefox and i don´t know if this is the problem. Of course this is a great add-on and i don´t want remove it.
Đánh giá này là cho một phiên bản trước của tiện ích (0.1.5.3).If your icon is not appearing in the upper right corner of the browser you can simply add it there by right-clicking on the toolbar and select "Cutomize..." From here you can simply drag-and-drop the icon to anywhere you would like on the toolbar. If you have any other questions and/or issues please post in the forums.

I have to agree with em28. This should really be a default function with Firefox. It's invaluable if you use more than one extension or theme. I've used this for quite a while now and have never had any problems.

This extension is so very useful that it should be standard in Firefox and Thunderbird. I no longer have to remember to check for updates to my numerous extensions.
I got it to work with Thunderbird 2.0 by using MR Tech Local Install and checking the "Override 'maxVersion' compatibility checking" box.

It is better than a dog that knows how to fetch. One no longer has to wait to know about an update.
Note: Needs to be updated to version two, which no doubt it will be.
