This should have come standard with FF. I put it in my "Apollo! Pack" collection and maybe in future updates they will include it.

Doesn't work with FF 4 Beta 9 now.
Updated to Beta 9 release today from Beta 8, now says incompatible. Please fix.

This is one of the first Extensions I throw on any new install along with Firefox Sync, and Adblock. I'm saddened that it doesn't work with the 4.0 Beta.

Thanks for the update "fixes" for the new versions, a big help.
Painfully to use? I can see your point but text or flash zoom already works without an add-on, just ctrl + + or ctrl + mouse wheel and just use Auto-scrolling to move the Image - Tools>Advanced>General^Browsing
This plug-in is the greatest.
This add-on, IMO is one you should help support.

If you want the addon to work for TB 3.1 and don't want to wait for an update, just edit the install.rdf in the xpi package and increase the maxversion of Thunderbird to 3.1.x. Works great for me - I'm very happy to have Image Zoom back for TB, this is an indispensible extension!

You can download the xpi file from that link and open it in firefox and you'll have a working version of image zoom in the firefox 4 beta.

Annoyingly, the centre of the zoom is at the corner rather than the cursor position, so you lose the part of the image you are focussed on.
Then you have to use the scroll bars, rather than a 'grab' cursor.
Does what it says, zooms (some) images, does not zoom text etc., does not zoom flash.
Sad.
So. it works, but it's a pain to use.
I'm looking elsewhere.

This has been an excellent program for me, It has never crashed or caused a system malfunction, It allows me to take a quick look at graphics that otherwise would require an extraordinary effort to analyze. Highly recommended for those who like to take a closer look.

[en] I use it permanent. It become so much daily routine that you miss it when it won't work anymore.
I hope that Jason Adams find the leisure to update that tool for Fox 4. It is to practical to resize a picture by pressing a key and use the scroll wheel at the mouse. Thank you for all your effort Jason.
[de] Ich benutze es dauernd. Es geht aber so in den Alltag ein das es auffällt wenn es mal nicht geht . Ich hoffe das Jason Adams die Muße findet das Tool für den Fox 4 updzudaten. Es ist einfach zu praktisch wenn man ein Bild vergrößern oder verkleinern will und nur eine Taste und das Mausrad bemühen muss um das zu tun.
