Специально зарегистрировался, чтобы рассказать, как побороть ограничение версии на использование этого дополнения. Качаем дополнение принудительно и сохраняем на диск в виде файла с разрешением xpi. Переименовываем его в zip, видим внутри файл install.rdf, открываем текстовым редактором, правим максимальную версию (с 54.0 до, к примеру, 100.0). Все это запаковываем обратно и переименовываем в xpi. Ставим как дополнение из файла. и вспоминаем разработчиков не злым тихим словом...

Awesome Addon. But sadly doesn't work with new versions of Thunderbird. Hope the dev update it soon.

The only thing missing is that the add-on doesn't work with shortcuts. I would like the same behavior when I use the Ctrl+W or Alt+F4 shortcuts.

If the last window is closed, this add-on correctly transforms it to a minimize. However, if the last tab of the window is closed (done via hot-key), closing the window as a result, Thunderbird still exits. Platform: Linux Mint 18.3.
