Folders can now be excluded from the search by hiding them. The "Hide" button (or pressing CTRL+Delete) adds the currently selected folder to the hidden folders list. To make a hidden folder searchable once again, select it in the Hidden folders combo box and either click the "Show folder" button or press the Delete key. Clicking the "Show all folders" button or pressing CTRL+Delete clears the hidden folder list, making all folders searchable once again. The hidden folder list is saved locally and restored each time Thunderbird is started.

In this version, Go and Cancel buttons have been added to the QuickNav dialog, as well as a combo box for controlling how much of the folder name is spoken by screen readers. A small issue that could affect JAWS has also been fixed.

The add-on has been updated to make it compatible with Thunderbird version 115.0 and later. Due to the major overhaul of the Thunderbird user interface, it has not been possible to make Quick Folder Key Navigation work as it used to, simply by typing letters while the mail folder tree had the focus. To quickly jump to a folder, it is now necessary to iether press F4 or click the QuickNav button on the Folder Pane Header to open the QuickNav pop-up. Then, start typing a folder name into the search field and the first matching folder will be displayed beneath it. You can either continue typing to narrow down the set of matches or use the up and down arrow keys to scroll through the set of matching foldres. Once you've found the desired folder, press the ENTER key to jump directly to it. If you change your mind and don't want to leave the current folder, simply press the Escape key to close QuickNav.

Please be aware that this new incarnation of the add-on is a work in progress and more work is needed to improve the user experience.

Note for JAWS users: If you have Forms Mode set to Manual, it is necessary to press enter when the QuickNav dialog opens in order to type into the search box. As this is extremely inconvenient, it is recommended that you uncheck the "Disable forms Mode when a new page is loaded" option in JAWS Settings Center. This will cause you to be placed into the edit field immediately when the QuickNav dialog opens. Alternatively, this can also be achieved by setting Forms Mode to anything other than Manual.

Minor update to keep the add-on working in Thunderbird 102.0.

This update includes a minor change to ensure that Quick Folder Key Navigation can only be updated if it is compatible with the version of Thunderbird being run.

This release has a minor internal change to make uninstalling/reinstalling/updating the add-on follow good programming practice.

Some minor behind-the-scenes changes have been made to avoid a possible issue that may occur due to unpredictable behaviour of one of the Thunderbird webextension API's that has recently come to light.

This release fixes an issue experienced by a number of users whereby Quick Folder Key Navigation wasn't correctly started when Thunderbird is launched. If there is a problem immediately after updating the add-on, please try closing and launching Thunderbird again. Please report any problems.

The add-on has been updated to make it compatible with Thunderbird version 69.0 and later. It continues to be compatible with Thunderbird 68.0. Note that the "Enable key navigation" item for toggling key navigation on and off in the folder tree that used to be added to the "Go" menu has been moved to the context menu of the folder tree.

This version makes Quick folder Key Navigation compatible with Thunderbird version 68.0 and later.
