Works well with older Thunderbird packaged into Ubuntu 18.04 LTS but cannot be installed for the most recent 78.1.0 Thunderbird. I hope new versions will be supported soon as I miss this addon a lot now.

Doesn't sync contacts correctly. I simply added a new contact in Thunderbird and wanted to sync that and any future email address to Google but it didn't work as expected. IMHO this kind of functionality should be integrated into Thunderbird but having no current option to sync them is really a drag.

Works well with TB 68.10.0 - I hope future Versions will be supported as well.
Is there any way to support the developer?

Wonderful integration. I will probably leave Thunderbird completely if this integration is updated to work with version 79

A really indispensible add-on to sync TB contacts with Google. Sadly, this does not work with TB version 78. If the author gets to read this, it would be wonderful if you could rewrite the app to work in 78 onward.

Cette application n'a pas encore été validée par Google et ne peut pas bénéficier de la fonctionnalité Google Sign-In.
Dommage !

Nice extension but doesn't work with Thunderbird 78 or later, which is now the latest version.

TB 78 is on the brink of release. Will gContactSync support that version?

I have created a number of address books (e.g. Relatives, Christmas Cards and Friends). When I Edit Accounts the right-hand pane doesn't always update, or allow me to Find All Groups, so I can't be sure that the mapping is correct. At other times it does work correctly.
Also my Friends address book won't update, so I have entries in Google Contacts but none in Thunderbird. When Edit Accounts does work I've tried renaming the address book at both ends (e.g. to Mates or Friend) to no avail. Edit Accounts shows no difference between it and other address books

Ne fonctionne pas du tout.
Tourne en boucle en me demandant mon adresse mail sans arrêt. Impossible de me connecter.
L'appli est pourtant bien autorisée dans mon compte Google.

GContactSync now syncs only 1500 contacts because of Gmail API changes. I use CardBook. It works fine for me.

Gcontact sync is broken, after a Gmail API change. Code needs to be changed to multiple queries with max 1,500 contacts each. The problem is well documented on Github here https://github.com/jdgeenen/gcontactsync/issues/156 and a concept code fix has been devised here https://stackoverflow.com/questions/61833268/google-contacts-api-v3-suddenly-retrieving-only-1-500-conctacts
I've tried registering on the pirule.org forum where the add-on author is clearly active, but it seems the registration code thinks I'm a spammer and won't let me register / post :-(
If someone can post this message on pirule.org under "bugs", we might all have a fix in a few days. Thanks

I had Found That Due to Google, Around the World User of Mozilla Thunderbird are Facing Big Problem, as the Developer is submitted gContactSync for verification several months ago. Google claim it takes 4-6 weeks but it's been twice that. Unfortunately there's nothing Happen from Google Side. Request to Please Take Some Action in this for the Addon Verification

The app askes me regularly to refresh the token of the google account. That makes me nervous.

I'm trying to move to TB on a new computer and have tried multiple times to install this and connect to my Gmail account, but I keep getting "Error 403: rate_limit_exceeded". Very frustrating.

All is good on current computers.
But just installed TB on new PC and I'm not able to use gContactSync because of Error 403.
Hope it will be fixed soon.

Used to do what it's for. But can't use on it my new computer due to login problems
