Finally got how to have color tabs dials, really great addon, super customizable, also backgrounds dial, font and so on, bravo.

Not bad.
Because it's updated more often than Fast Dial, i chose Speed Dial.
But please, is there a way to bypass loading/refreshing of custom icons every time i open Speed Dial? It's annoying when you have to wait for all of them to load.

After install this addon Firefox don't show proxy password menu. This addon make it unvisible. Firefox freeze. Restart brouser don't hepl. Del addon from file brouser.

This is my favorite add-on. The only thing i miss in it is a customizable background wallpaper in dial window.

it is great add but i have uninstalle this addon because it is open new tab with this link www.fm.com no option to disabel this spam pefff :-/ removed from my favorit addon's.

With version 0.9.6.3 (get it at http://speeddial.uworks.net/download.html) Speed Dial works like in Opera: it is shown when the last tab is closed. (In 0.9.6.1 when you close last tab you will get an empty window).
I also like the ability to organize groups for different site categories.
5 stars for 0.9.6.3 version!

Thank goodness this addon is still available after switching back from Foxtabs. Is it possible to change background though? I clicked 'show browser background' but not displaying on groups pages.

One of my favorite add-on's. I use it all the time on several machines for easy access to my commonly used websites. I just wish it had a sync feature so as I add/delete/move around websites on one machine I could sync it with the others. Now I have to manually save the settings file, email it to myself then load it on the other machines. I have a large 9x6 array and I think it loads fast enough in about 1 second. It's working fine for me using FF8 or FF9 beta!

As many others recognized, Speed Dial is not really "speedy" and slows down Firefox.
Here's a little workaround, that worked for myself: set the preview image size to something smaller. I have an 1920x1200 screen and a 3x3 speed dial view. I adjusted preview size to 500x300 and disabled high quality scaling (do a full reload of all previews to get instant effects). Now Speed Dial runs much smoother, but not perfectly.
Still, some major performance updates would be nice!

A great app, worked brilliantly for FF7. Unfortunately just updated to FF8 and no longer supported :( Please work on it, thanks.

very nice plugin for firefox, but there is a problem, because the images loads every time i open speed dial. i thought the images are in cache? i have every time to wait for the images to load, so i can switch to other group.
the speed dial should as on opera. also the quality of "HQ"-images is very bad. on opera are the images more better, and generate automatic.
so i wish, this addon will be optimized for fast browsing.

speed dial works as good as the big brother from google chrome.
unfortunately googles speed dial looks pretty much better.

I had been using this plug-in for a while and liked it. Unfortunately I thought it, like other software I downloaded, was mine. Today I found it was disabled with a message saying I had to pay to get it back. Without a warning to back up the bookmarks I had within. Therefore I give this product the poorest rating I can. I will never use another product from this person again.

I have 7 groups x 6x8 dials.
When I open a new tab, FF 7.0.1 freezes until Speed Dial render all miniatures. It's about time, I should say! I hit Esc for stopping the render, if it can help for smb
