I'm sorry, but version 6.3.5 won't install on TB 140.0.1. Where can I get a version of Quicktext that works on this version of TB?

I have been using Quicktext for four years.
Now, I had the bad idea updating Thunderbird to the newest version. I can't use Quicktexte anymore.
I hope the dev will be able to release an update !

Very good extension/add-on. I downloaded the newer version which is compatible with Thunderbird 140 from developers site https://github.com/jobisoft/quicktext/releases

It suddenly disappeared from my email because it was not compatible with the latest version! It was very useful, so it is inconvenient. Can you make it compatible with the latest version?

When I got to work this morning and saw that the extension had disappeared due to incompatibility with the latest version, I was really SCARED! I went to download the BETA version from GitHub, and I want to say that so far I haven’t had any issues and I’ve recovered my pre-saved emails! Thank you for your work!!!

How can I integrate version 6.3.5 into my TB?

All with problems at 139 or 140. go to the github page of the project, there you will find the release 6.3.5, download the xpi and install it in tb.

Huge congratulations and sincere thanks to the author for creating something so useful – it really makes everyday work much easier.
At the same time, a heartfelt request: could you please let us know if an update for the new version of Thunderbird is planned?

ESR users will receive an auto update to Quicktext v6 when Thunderbird 140 ESR is shipped this summer. Everybody who switched from ESR to Thunderbird's the new monthly release can try out v6 now already.

Moin, leider habe ich nicht verstanden, wie ich Quicktext auf der neuen Version von Thunderbird wieder zum laufen bekomme. Kannst du mir helfen?

It's excellent. But I can't use it after the Thunderbird been updated. Please save my email templates and my job at your earliest convenient.

Justa a quick fix for tb 139 ... download de 5.21 ver, unpack and
correct the manifest.json (strict_max_version) and pack it again.

If you want to update the add-on yourself, enable CzatGPT and ask it to prepare a .XPI file for Thunderbird 139, then update from the file.
1. Download the latest version: https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/quicktext/versions/
2. In ChatGPT enter: "Please have an .xpi file that works up to Thunderbird version 139, and if possible, all subsequent versions, so I don't have to do this again."
3. Download the file created by CzatGPT
4. In Thunderbird, open the menu ☰ → Add-ons & Themes (Ctrl + Shift + A).
Click the gear icon ⚙️ (top right corner).
Select "Install add-on from file...".
5. Enjoy :)

A really great add-on, using it on a daily basis, saving me time when respond to client emails.
Yesterday I noticed that Quicktext is incompatible with Thunderbird 139.0 which is quite troublesome, as I rely on it to significantly cut down the response time.
Looking forward for an update so it works on 139.0 version as well.
Otherwise, I really recommend the add-on, it does a fantastic job at organizing preset templates of text and offering options as keyboard combinations to add them.

Klasse Tool, sollte in jedem Mailprogramm fest eingebaut sein.
