why wont it let me use this? it says i need a mozila based browser, i'm using seamonkey

Unfortunately, SeaMonkey doesn't support OpenSearch plugins, it only supports Sherlock. Support for OpenSearch has been on the to-do list for a long time but no one seems to be working on it (http://blog.mozilla.com/meeting-notes/archives/292 , https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410613).
