- The check window opens again when you press Send in current Thunderbird versions (it stopped opening after recent updates and the mail stayed locked). If the toolbar button is hidden, the check now opens as its own small window.
- The Send button inside the check window works again.
- Closing the check window without choosing now cancels the send, so the compose window is never left locked.
- The preview of the first lines of the body is shown as plain text only.
- Tested on Thunderbird 153 ESR and 140 ESR.
