Love this add-on as I always hit close rather than minimize. Though sadly the latest Thunderbird update appears to have broken it.

Minimize on ESC on the other hand works, minimize on close now closes the application which is not supposed to happen.

This simple extension works well for me (on Windows 7) in most cases. However, if I close all my tabs, Firefox then exits - could it minimise with a Home tab instead? Also, please share a link to your code repo (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket...) so users can make and track bug reports. Thanks so much for a simple but effective add-on!

i update my windows 8.1 x64 to Windows 10 x64 and not works this addon in Firefoz 42.0.

I like it. It works fine with Thunderbird 38.2.0 on Win 10.
I can install it on Firefox 40.0.3 as well, but it has no effect there actually.

This add-on makes much more sense than minimizing to the system tray. Works perfectly for me! I love it! (Windows 7)

Pues como la descripción estaba en inglés no comprendí muy bien como funcionaba, pero realmente es bueno porque funciona tal y como se menciona: minimiza la aplicación Thunderbird así se de clic en CERRAR. Efectivo pero probaré definitivamente minimizar el Thunderbird a la bandeja de notificaciones.

This is so close to what I'm looking for! I agree with others that it just needs to close all tabs and go to my homepage while minimizing when I press the 'X' button.
Also, if possible, it would be nice if when I right clicked on Firefox in the taskbar and chose 'Close' that it actually quit Firefox.

Completely agree with NormanTheLegendaryDog's feature request:
Can you please add an option to close all tabs and navigate to homepage on application closing? This will increase the feeling of clean start when the application is reopen again.
As for the add-on - it is very helpful (especially for old & slow laptops like my).
