Author won't fix it through script pretending it's a tb's issue.
why this addon's useless:
3 steps with addon:
1. click on xpunge button
2. the number of deleted emails doesn't disappear, so you need to click on trash again (he won't fix it)
3. click on inbox again.
without addon:
1. click on trash
2. ctrl+A & del button
3. move back to inbox.

This used to be a great add-on. Now, sadly, it doesn't work at all. Clicking MultiXpunge in Thunderbird 78 doesn't do anything at all. The trash isn't emptied, the spam isn't deleted. Useless. Too bad.
Revised rating. When you do a fresh install of the add-on, the default settings are for the MultiXpunge to do nothing. And the settings are about as buried as can be - if you normally have the menu bar hidden in Thunderbird, you'd be hard-pressed to find them.
Why would anyone choose default settings that effectively disable the add-on?
And if given a choice, I'd rather have the Xpunge button than the multi version.

Fantastic addon! Been using it for years. The update for Thunderbird 78 is timely. The loss of the xpunge button/option shouldn't be a huge deal. If you only have a single mailbox, choose that one from the "Multi" list.

I have read your reply to my post, but not found any mail address where to write you and trying to access your site i receive a "Site Not Found" error message.
Anyway i can't tell you something more of what I already told in my Review. I described the problem: the XP button disappear from the toolbar after each restart of Thundrbird.
Did you experienced the same problem?

I am not sure how you are trying to access my site, the links on this page work for me. But on this add-on page for Xpunge, where you are writing the reviews (https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/xpunge/), there is a link on the right-hand side that says "Support E-mail".
Can you please send an email there? It is not possible to provide the information I have in mind in review threads.

is it possible for you to make this plugin for Thunderbird 74.0b2 (I love it!)
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.0).Hi. From what I know so far, Xpunge needs a rewrite to be compatible with TB 74+. I will have to see how feasible this is and how long it might take, so currently I am not sure if/when Xpunge will be working on TB 74+.

The addon is great, but sometimes it causes to redownload whole folder once again which makes my folders 2x larger than it was before xpunging so I have to repair folder (and redownload it once more) to reduce space. If you have 30+ accounts and 150GB+ mails it is not always a good solution...

Would it be possible to ad the "Send" folder (send e-mail's)
for cleaning or custom folders...
This functionality is rather outside Xpunge's scope. If you want to get in touch by email, I can provide a longer explanation.

I have multiple accounts, some of which I've had for more than 20 years and thus tend to collect a lot of spam. I have a lot of rules defined to dump the spam into a spam folder, but clean up used to be a pain. Xpunge is a great way to quickly and easily clean out spam, empty the trash, and compress my folders all at the click of a single button.
I highly recommend this plugin as a great way to easily manage your email complexity.

I've been waiting patiently for this addon to work with Thunderbird 60.X. Hasn't been working since I upgraded. This morning I tried once again and "voila", it now works. Thank you for this little time and work saver. Now I can give you the 5 stars it (and you) deserve.
