Mike Kraft asked me to try re-installing 1.0.0.10. I did this and it worked fine. As I told Mike, the next time a new program doesn't work I'll try re-installing. It's a standard procedure and I was careless in not trying it.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.0.10).So far everyone who has told me that 1.0.0.10 doesn't log in, had it start working by itself when I asked them for debugging data.
If you still can't log in, follow the steps at http://ymnotifier.mozdev.org/bugs.html and send me the debug data so I can figure out why.

Great plugin, but late versions doesn't work for me, I have to use version 1.0.0.6 and works as should be.
Tested the new version in the new FF but doesn't work if you have more than 1 account.

I can only log into one email account. WHY WHY WHY? The main reason why I need this extension is to check mail in multiple accounts with one click
Pls restore this functionality and you may have the five stars...
I'm working on supporting multiple users, but it requires a nearly complete re-write. I just wanted to get things stable before doing so.

Good extension, could be improved as 'Gmail notifier'

Loved this add-on, but recently having the same problem as some others. Used it extensively for years, now I can only log into one email account. Is there a fix to get it back the way it used to be? Specifically, allowing more than one email account?

Now I no longer have the need for the Yahoo! Toolbar. The only reason I had it before was for the mail notification. Now that I have this, I can get rid of all the extra bulk that I never used!

Fantastic. Works like a charm. I use have a btinternet email address (they use Yahoo) and I've had no problems using this add-on with Firefox 3.0
One tip - install, configure and then restart your browser.

This extension is great, and works fine with Firefox 3. I’d give it 5 stars if it supported multiple-account checking.
BTW: An “invalid username/password combination” error when you know your password is correct is likely caused by blocking third party cookies without setting an exception for yahoo.com (as mentioned in the FAQ). This should probably be mentioned in the error message itself. (Or, better yet, would it be possible to have the extension set the cookie exception itself?)

This one of the best mail notifier I've used. But This extension didn't work properly with Firefox RC2, it was fine till RC1. I'm using V 1.0.0.6. Please fix it ASAP.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.0.6).I've been using the extension in Firefox 3.0 (both RC1 and RC2) for a few weeks now without any problems. If you have issues please read the Developer Comments below.

I've been waiting for an update to fix Notifier's log-in problem with Firefox3b5.
It's been updated but the problem is not fixed.

This is a very useful add-on. 3 stars only because the add-on automatically signs me into Yahoo websites when I log in. Does anyone know of a way to stop the automatic login feature?

Não funcionou comigo no Firefox 2.0.0.13.\r\n\r\nEla não informa nenhum erro mas não informa quando o email chega.\r\n\r\nIt did not work with me no Firefox 2.0.0.13.\r\n\r\nShe does not inform any mistake but does not inform when the e-mail arrives.

Works fine so far. I was not to sure it would. My ISP is partnered up with Yahoo but does not mention them in the email address. But I checked the alternate checking method box and sent myself an email from my Gmail account and, presto, the notifier worked perfectly.

Love the addon, but what about the possibility of being able to monitor multiple yahoo mail accounts at the same time, obviously only 1 could be active to "access", but maybe the notifier could report new mails to other accounts....

I appreciate this extension.
I have had no problems in Firefox 2.0.0.13 and none in Firefox 3 Beta 4. But now I can't log in under Beta 5 (although the download icon shows green in Beta 5).
I get the following error message:
- Invalid username/password combination. If you continue to get this error, try entering your email address as your username.
After I attempt to enter my username/password, I find myself logged out of My Yahoo! and Yahoo! Mail.
I've reinstalled the extension and tried using the "alternate method" (no response).
I noticed Yahoo! Mail Notifier was updated after Beta 5 was posted yesterday to allow the extension to be installed under Beta 5 so the new code may be where the problem is, or maybe in the changes in javascript made for Beta 5.
YMN was five stars before but not anymore (until this problem is fixed).
