Hey, I love your Thunderbird add-on.
One thing that I feel could improve it is the ability for a particular template to add text to the subject line of the email. I'm sending a lot of people my contact info, for example, because I ran out of business cards at a recent conference. I'd like a template that could add "Here's my contact info" to the subject line to save me the time of typing it every time. It could be coded to automatically add to the beginning of whatever's already in the subject line, in case you're replying to an email, and the subject line already has the "Re: those aardvarks you asked about" stuff in it.
Anyway, kudos on the great add-on!

Brilliant!
I use this constantly at work. I'm always screwing up the spelling of people's names, so now I can have this to automatically insert thier first name for me. I also can shoot off quick replies without having to type ANYTHING!

Originally could not get it to load but once I did it seems like a winner.
Quicktext would absolutely benefit from font, style and text-size settings.
I expect to play with it some more and to use it constantly. Thanks

Brilliant add-on guys! As a "power user" of Thunderbird, I had tried the "Manage Identities" feature - but it got complicated!
Quicktext gives you complete freedom to choose easily from your own selection of signatures. Quicktext pastes into whatever format - plain text or html.
Love the easy drop-downs for Sigs and Variables when composing a new message or reply.
grovesey.

Love this! This is one of the add-ons that keeps me working with Thunderbird even though I can't share vcards a requirement for my work. Because of this addon, and a few others I work in both Thunderbird & Outlook. Someday I hope to be able to dump Outlook, but until I can share VCards it's not possible.

It is very good, nice user interface, very convenient. I have been using Quicktext for several months now and it is very good. It is a shame Thunderbird can not incorporate these obvious features in its native interface. I particular - singature should be below the letter but ABOVE the reply. THat is what users need, very often...

Simple, effective & straightforward - what's not to like? Many thanks for this invaluable software.

Very nice add-on, which should be a standard in Thunderbird, so if the developers for Thunderbird 3 are searching for features, this is definitly one!
1 request: can you add support for more languages or put it back on babelzilla (still old version there)?

It is a very nice add-on, saves a lot of time. But it needs a few more features, like font editing. It would also be nice to be able to create Reply templates, meaning I can quote the text of the received e-mail as a variable. Something similar to theBat! Reply templates. Overall, this is a wonderful extension, keep up the good work!

I love this extension.
I used to have to write a draft email, save it (in Drafts) and then when I wanted to use the text from the draft page that I wrote, I'd have to leave the compose window, go to Drafts open up the draft with the text that I wanted, copy the text, go back to the compose window and paste it.
I could have just said that Quicktext saves me a whole lot of time and trouble, but I wanted to illustrate what a hassle that it was for me to paste frequently used text before I got Quicktext.
As you can plainly see, I have a legitimate need for just such an extension.
I sincerely appreciate the time that you put into it to build and maintain it.

I just wanted to add a signature to my emails. Success in five minutes. It's more useful than I hoped. Thank you

This is a great add on - like it even better than outlook b/c of the ability to have variables and use signatures within a signature.
Well thought out and and great to have!!!

should be a right click as add quick text, no icon. or insert quick text from insert menu not toolbar in new message
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.9.9).If you look in the settings window you can choose to show the option to insert templates when you right click. And if you click View in the toolbar you can select to hide the Quicktext toolbar.

Great potential, but very intrusive and doesn't integrate well. Nothing that ten minutes editing the source code wont fix though.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.9.9).It would be much more helpful if you send me an email and tell me the problems you have because then I could do something about it.

this is so great! I wish I had found this much earlier. It saved me maybe 15 minutes within my first use...
Thanks a lot and keep on improving.
