Hi,
This addon is great! I just feel there is only one thing missing : that would be great if the icon displayed in the tray would display the number of unread messages.
Thank you for this add-on !

Works great, both with Firefox and Thunderbird. The only problem is the window position isn't remembered after restoring. (Fx 3.6.15, Gnome, Ubuntu Karmic).

one little problem: There are times I need every scrap of RAM I have, though I want 'Fox, ONLY WHEN CLOSED to appear as it does withyour other Minimize settings (OK, MAYBE with a tiny speed-launcher) But I want the program CLOSED, NOT like T'bird, which I almost always keep open. You could even keep the icon there whyle the 'fox was open - it just seems funny that out of all the possible combinations of when/how, ths is the ONLY one not on the list

Add-on works fine, but I have one small request. Can you add option to minimize to tray by clicking right mouse button on minimize button?
In many situations I want to minimize in normal way and it will be very good solution with LMB to normal minimize and RMB to minimize to tray. Thank you very much. ;)

Nützliches Addon, danke. Vermisse lediglich die Option Firefox direkt beim Start ins Tray zu schicken.

Nice addon, thanks. I only miss a feature to minimize Firefox when it gets started.

Wonderful, wonderful so wonderful add-on.
Just I have one request. I do not know how to send you the email request, so I am using this review forum. Is it possible by using your add-on, when I start firefox it immediately goes to system tray. I have put a short cut in my start up folder in windows, however firefox is starting up as a full window. I had to manually minimize it.
Thanks

Please add in this add-on function "Start on Windows loading". It will be useful for future release of Thunderbird 3.3, because minimizetotray-plus does not work on that builds.

First, please note: this review is for Windows XP on all my computers (not Vista or W7).
I have tried two popular add-ons for minimizing to tray: "MinimizeToTray Plus" and "MinimizeToTray revived" and both basically work fine, but at the same time, I found that both are "buggy" on my laptop... the "MinimizeToTray Plus" even more so than this one.
HOWEVER, it should be noted that, on my desktop computer, the "MinimizeToTray Plus" seems to work flawlessly with little or no bug behavior, so I've chosen to stay with that add-on for now on that computer.
I give this Add-on higher marks than the other add-on because the bugs are not as prevalent (see my review for it there).
At least right-click on the task-bar works with this add-on. Some opened folder windows still go orange in the task-bar unnecessarily though.
Again, very few or none of these symptoms manifested on my desktop, so clearly there are some system discrepancies that come into play; something to bear in mind if you encounter bugs on your own computer.

to developer Nils Maier:
Your addon is very useful. I've used it for a long time.
But in the new Version 0.5.4 , I don't like this "When using 'Instead of closing' then the Window icon menu ........ will also minimize the window instead of closing it.".
Because, sometimes I will open several windows of firefox, I used to use these two mothods to close some window, (only click the close button to minimize the window).
So, I hope you can add an option in the addon for users to enable or disable this new function.
Thanks!!

Another bonus from this.
I usually have a lot of browser windows open with a lot of tabs within each (Firefox's capacity is amazing), but I am often jumping back and forth between just a couple of them. They get buried in the line of icons along the task-bar that are pretty much unreadable because they get really narrow.
Now I just MINIMIZE the two windows I'm currently jumping back and forth from and then restore them and they are one after the other at the end of the task-bar!
Very useful, and keeps me from constantly going: "which browser window icon was 'x' and which one was 'y'?"
Saves time, confusion and irritation and is much faster than just closing the two windows and all their tabs and reopening and reloading the tabs.
Thanks much for providing me with this slightly convoluted but quite satisfying solution!!

I hope that will be a switch to make trayicon visible allways
