I loved this extension when it worked in Thunderbird 2.0.0.23. However, I also experienced the "XML parsing error" after installing Thunderbird 3. Now I use the extension "Manually sort folders" instead.

I uninstalled the add-on that carried over from Thunderbird 2.0, and installed the latest version fresh. But I still get an "XML parsing error" with Thunderbird 3.0 when I click on "Preferences". I hope this can get fixed, because I really need this functionality.

The add on Folderpane Tools 0.0.5.1 creates an error
Error: GetFolderTree is not defined
Source File: chrome://folderpane/content/folderpane.xul
Line: 19
As result there is no automaticly check mail at startup
Because I first searched for this error above I found a lott of topics in forums.
The bugfix for the; check on startup, couldn't be found.
But after using save modes the check mail worked again.
Therefore I have disabled and enabled the plugins until the problem was solved.
Disabling Folderpane Tools 0.0.5.1 fixed it.
The tool doesn't work on TB3 and can't configured with the options button.
Please check the plugin

Incompatible with Thunderbird 3 Beta 2

Very useful add-on indeed. I use it since a long time.
Unfortunately, it's not compatible with Thunderbird 3.0.
It can be installed normally but there is an error message when clicking on the "options" button:

This worked great in TB 2.0, but is incompatible with TB 3.0 RC1.
I really like this Add-on. I found it to be very useful. I hope they get this repaired quickly.

Worked fine for me on TB 2. It's strange you have to go to the add-on prefs to use it. Yet, since reordering accounts is not something I do constantly, it didn't bother me.
Note: The compatibility is obviously wrong since it says to be compatible with 3.1a1, which does not yet exist. It would be an ALPHA (not a beta) of the 3.1 (impossible prior to 3.0 release). I guess the correct would be 3.0a1 which comes before all the 3.0 betas.
So, no reason to give it one star for not being compatible with a beta. After all, it's somewhat contradictory to complain about improper functioning on betas! They are for test purposes.

Tbird 3.0pre claims this extension is not compatible. Why do you say that it is compatible up to version 3.1?

I have been using this for a long time works great until 3.01b2 and after (up to 3.04ob4pre.
It would be much appreciated if you can find time to fix it.

Does not work with 3.0B3

So helpful! I have 10 different accounts in Thunderbird and I was never able to see the ones that were most important, which were usually the most recently added, because the most recent would show at the bottom of the list. I was always closing all the tree views, or scrolling, to see "below the fold." Now I can change the order any time I want, without editing any code files. I can see everything that matters "above the fold" so no scrolling. If I need to access an older account, I can scroll, but that's very seldom now, thanks to this great add-on. Thank you!

Awesome, way more convenient than dealing with prefs.js
