Realy simple.
Minimum necessary features.
Something is missing.

Overall its the best ad blocker ive seen due to its efficiency and effectiveness. Some extra configurability would be a bonus. The icon is a little bit creepy.

Works on 99% of sites.
Exclusion, if you upload a file to mirrorcreator.com when that finishes you then click on download links and select the link you want, normally i copy this and there is a pop up, bluhell does not stop this one.
Also, bluhell does not stop popup @ perfectgirls.net, always the same popup after you checkout a few videos.
But really a great product.
I have 0 site compatibility issues.
Coupled with Disconnect, this is the product of Kings, much better then Adblock

It works well and is really light. but in some cases it blocks too much. I think of an exception list it could use.

It isn't as thorough as other ad blockers, but it's really light on resources and works well enough. I think it's a good compromise. It really needs a whitelist feature though.

Does what it say. Good Extension

Bluehell works OK, initially a few adds got through but I haven't seen one lately, the main issue for me though is that when I click a link from the the guardian today email to the guardian website, it blocks it and asks me to allow it, something I have to do daily. It would be nice if it had a remember my decision option, or else if it didn't automatically block webpages opened from links in Thunderbird.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.1-signed).Sure, having a option to remember a domain could be a good idea and shouldn't slow down the extension - noted for the next version. Thank you for your review.

Looks and sounds great, not sure yet if it is working, just had another popup as I restarted my machine after installing this app so I'll wait and see. If it works I will be happy to contribute.

Could be 5 stars, just needs some options like whitelisting.

Hi there. I really like this add on so far and it seems to do what it claims that it does. However every time i load firefox i get an annoying pop up asking me if i want it to protect my browser from some changes i may not want and gives me the option to save it after ticking the box. But again i still get it appearing every time i load firefox. so please fix it so that it only needs to be ticked and saved once. apart from that one issue the add on is fantastic.
EDIT: Turned out that is was not this add on making the pop up after all. it was a stupid add on from Norton anti-virus called Norton vulnerability protection ( i would disable it if you have it unless you actually like having pop ups every time you start your firefox browser )
So i must apologise for my mistake
Hi, I have no idea about what you're talking about, so i guess you wanted to give that review to another add-on (?)

Thank you for the add-on, I really like it a lot, and use it as default ad-blocker.
I don't see the blue-hell firewall icon, on the add-on bar now...I'm using firefox 26
I wanted to disable it for a website but I wasn't able to do it.
Most likely it's gone on the "Customize Panel"

How does it protect privacy ? Can it be used instead of No Referer ??....
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.1-signed).The add-on includes EasyPrivacy and a couple hundred of hand-crafted domains known by tracking users, such as quant server, g analytics, trends live, etc etc
I don't see a relation between that and NoReferer, assuming it just hides the Referrer HTTP header sent to servers.

The best thing it that this addon is very light compared to ABP and this doesn't make my browser to start slower. Of course there is something that needs fixing like all of the ads that ABP blocks are not blocked by this. Now I use Disconnect with Bluehell Firewall but is it needed? I really like this addon, so simple, easy to use and light. Really good work!

It would be a better one if it did not have glaring omissions like NY Times.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.1-signed).Hello,
What are you observing exactly?
Here I don't see any ad: http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/4734/jnmm.png
You can also check the browser console in that screenshoot showing what got blocked.

A very good add-on, with ABP are driven partly criminal activities(http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Schwere-Vorwuerfe-gegen-Werbeblocker-AdBlock-Plus-1897152.html) it only makes the most necessary it all works well and is really easy. Has determined potential.
Thank you very much

As you suggest me, I would like to use ABP just for FR List, keeping using Bluhell. In ABP should I keep EasyPrivacy and MalwareDomains on ? No risk of conflict or slow down using both plugins ?
Other question : On a specific domain (www.leboncoin.fr) Bluhell hides the homepage but not the ads. Seems not to be an EasyList problem.
EasyPrivacy is also included in Bluhell, even a few hand-crafted domains known for spreading malware are included too, but i didn't put much emphasis on adding more of these since Firefox comes already with good malware lists by default as distributed by Google. There shouldn't be any conflict on using both extensions at the same time, i'm aware of several users using that combo (plus the Element Hidding Helper add-on)
Regarding leboncoin, try cleaning the cache and cookies for that site, since i wasn't able to notice anything strange by visiting it.

There is a reason the Bluhell firewall has been chosen for the add-on of the month.

Wow amazing add-on, it blocks almost all advertising and if you have any "leftovers" you can just block them with the "Rip Addon".
Anyway the speed gain is amazing, the sites load much quicker and more importantly the browser seems to be more stable overall.
