Easy to use and works well. It has assisted me in moving between at least four installations, so I can attest to both export and import working.

Using Firefox 3.0.3 the add-on lets you I export pass words but can't import them, at least not csv files.
Exporting the passwords (and rotecting the exported file with a password) helps to find lost passwords and conflicts when you tried to enter a pw-protected site with a wrong password. This is helpful as FF remembers all passwords, even the wrong ones.
So, use it for what it tells you it can do : export passwords. And nothing else.

If you get a parsing error, try to load the xml into something that parses it and tells you what the error is.
I tried to import into MS Access and found that one of my accounts has a "sideways pointing carat" or "less than" sign (I can't type the symbol or my review gets cut off - it's an HTML/XML symbol that surrounds every element).
Let's try this - the html code (or actual symbol if we're lucky) is: <
Once I got rid of that, my p/w's imported just fine.
BTW a podcast I like is freedomainradio.com. Enjoy.

Sweet. Reloading firefox and this is going to help a lot. I came back here to figure out how it was encrypting, it doesn't say in the addon itself, I see its internal and wont need any password or anything to decrypt for now, which is fine for what I'm doing. Thanks.

If you use this buggy tool to import your passwords, you can as well drop them in the Recycle Bin.
Full of bugs, PLEASE REMOVE THIS TOOL, too many people have already been screwed by it !

No longer maintained, and has serious bugs regarding data encoding.
Will fail if your passwords include certain characters.
(There has been no response on the bug-tracking site on this high-priority issue.)

Export with encryption produced empty file.
Import didn't work with .xml file.
Export/Import with .cvs file and no encryption worked.

Exported an xml to Keepass OK but does not import re-saved xml back in to FF3.
Neither will it import the ORIGINAL saved xml.
So I've now lost ALL my passwords in FF3.
This add-on needs removing until it is fixed.

Doesn't care about dupes, does import everything, does export everything, messes vital firefox files..... etc....
Keep away from this junk !

The importer does not work properly.
It does not handle duplicates, meaning there Will be duplicates.
If I export then import I lose a few passwords.
Which basically means it only does half of what it's supposed to do.
To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
