Speed Dial exists in one form or another on many platforms. But it is this incarnation in Firefox which truly excels. As an avid user of the internet, I have amassed 100's of URL's of sites I visit regularly. Being able to lay them out in visual groupings allows me to swiftly navigate to exactly where I want to be without delay and with 100% certainty of the site I am visiting. The time saved is terrific and it is a splendidly smooth experience to use.

I love the flexibility. You can create panes/dials of different sizes, layouts, colours and of course content. Nothing is dictated to you, you are the master of your web.

It is the security, peace of mind and extensibility of Firefox combined with this must have extension which keeps me a loyal follower of both. I go where I want, when I want, safely and quickly. Sorted!

Really nice plugin!

The only thing is would like is to be able to disable the right-click function on the background, so i dont get the menu (Open All New Tabs, Refresh All Dials, Edit Group, Speed Dial Options...) because i use it in combination with openkiosk.

Speed dial makes me very comfort to visit the sites, bcoz of it's simplicity, and classic look i loves it so much and recommend it to use............... :-)

Really a great add-on. Just when you think "now if the extension would also be able to..." you look in the settings and find it there.

Very very nice plugin for firefox, this add-on was also a blessing to me i was it was so much easier to view websites at a click!!!

Totally worth it, but it would be really nice to use the mozilla updater instead of downloading the xpi from hand.

This add-on is FABULOUS! My Bookmark drop down runs below my page. I have Bookmarks that I don't want to commit to a folder so the list can get out of hand and I'm not consistent on cleaning up after myself with things like that. This is the answer to my prayers! I categorize groupings and click I'm there. Bills on on, shopping on another and search engines on another. I can't stand having toolbars cluttering up my browser. I like optimum viewing. Thank you Josep del Rio and if I didn't live on broke ass mountain I'd send you money all day but instead, for now you have my gratitude and my husband's also. I'm sure when I get with the girls I'll be telling them. We all need a little help with time management and this is a wonderful tool for me!

Out of the many add-ons for firefox, one of the top on my list is Speed dial for its intuitive design and easy to use at many levels of experience. The Idea is simple, have a add on that allows for a user to save web pages of their choice that they often need quick access to. This has saved me time since i have this set as my home page and the first link is always one that leads to my online classes. By having be easly accessable, i am able to get school work done just in the nick of time. Sure i could just add it to my bookmarks, but that list is growing a little too much over the years and i needed a effective way of getting to my classes right after work, and speed dial does just that. It also allows for me to visually see what sites i am saving and allows for me to organize them the way that i like. All in all, this is one of the best for what it does

Speed dial on a new tab fix for FF 12 :

1. go to about:config
2. set browser.newtabpage.enabled to true
3. set browser.newtab.url to chrome://speeddial/content/speeddial.xul

This is really useful for sites that you visit often. I use it just about every day, and it is reliable and useful.

There is a tiny bug, however, where the OK button in the Set Default Refresh Rate does not work.

Great!
I only wish for one thing...the possibility to have several searchboxes on the same page. Instead of having one where you change between imdb, wikipedia, google, yahoo you have custumized boxes on top or next to each other.

На мой взгляд это дополнение выгодно отличается от подобных возможностью создавать группы визуальных закладок, минус я вижу только один - нет возможности синхронизировать закладки speeddial между разными устройствами, хотя возможности для этого Firefox 11 уже предоставил.
