Sorry but i got a
non desired window appearing when STart FF,comin from SD...which says : in french
"Firefox ne sait pas ouvrir cette adresse car le protocole (launch) n'est associé à aucun programme."
so what can i do ??

Thanks for making this compatible with the new version of FF. I've always loved his addon since I used to use Opera. Excellent job.

If background image path include double-byte characters, it won't work.
Anyway, excellent addon. I use it not only as visiting favorite pages, also as a read it later manager.

Love it!! This is my homepage and its like having 9 homepages in one. Different users can all have their preferred homepage at a click of a button, excellent!! There is only two things I would change, one would be the ability to change image background or even just colour. And the other would be the same layout but just shifted left a little and down the right side the ability to add lots of different search engines because what do most people do when they switch on the internet?-they either usually go to a bookmark, so you already have your top nine, or they search so you could have youtube, wiki, ebay, and any sites search boxes down one side too.

Great addon!!!
It sets up your work space in a minute, by project or topic.
I use it in the office and at home.
I normally mail myself the settings between the two.
Anyone knows a better way?

Great addons. Few suggestions:
1. Widescreen support: I have a 4:3 screen in my office and Speed dial looks great, but I have 16:10 at home and it only display all the dials in the middle, even when I increase the column, it always form a 4:3 list. Is there a setting to have it differently?
2. Sync-ing. I use Xmarks and would like to know if I should request speeddial or xmarks to add support to syncing speeddial tabs and dials.
3. The thumbnail generation is not working as it should. It cut-off many of the sites even when 'fit horizontal' is selected.
This addons is a must have for anyone. Among the first addons I get when I installed Firefox.

I just started using this add-on, and so far I'm really impressed.
The only bug that I've noticed, is when I try to use multi-button controls (ctrl+shift+number) and use the number pad on the right of the keyboard, it doesn't work. The row of numbers on the top work though.
Couple thing I would like to see:
1) Hide the (Empty) dials, so that the background image comes through.
2) Center the dial titles.
Solid 4+ stars for me. Falls just short of 5 due to the lack of hiding for the dials.

I love this add-on. only problem is the thumbnail generation. You have to screw around endlessly trying to re-size and get the pages to display correctly in the Speed Dial menu. I don't see why, because the Fast Dial add-on can accomplish this flawlessly with the click of a button. Also, because of its flawed thumbnail generation system, it seems to take longer to load when you are opening Firefox because Speed Dial has to re-size the images to fit inside the boxes when loading.
Over all its still an outstanding add-on. Thanks to the developers.

Je trouve que cet outils est très pratique et facile à paramétrer, néanmoins après quelques jours d'utilisation sans rien modifier, un bug apparait :

The error you described is caused by Tab Mix Plus session manager. I suggest that you disable it from TMP settings panel, and use the one that comes in Firefox.
Moi, je n'ai pas ce Tab Mix Plus mais j'attends vos solutions car j'ai bien essayé de faire une restauration via les paramètres mais ça n'a rien donné

I have no other problems with "Noia" !!

I absolutely love speed dial!! i dont know where i would be without it tbh. but since recent FF update, speedial no longer works, it wont open in new tabs, i have to creat a bookmark to it, and even so, clickign on a dial or using shortcut key does not open my favourite sites

Hi there, I'm a former FastDial user and i have to say that i really like Speed Dial, It never failed me and it doesn't gets messed up when updates come out. However there are some things that -in my personal opinion- needs some work
1) Playing with the settings can be a bit tough at times. Especially the panel width / Height options. I tried to "replicate" the exact look of opera's speed dial (small "thumbnails" in the center of the screen etc) and while i managed to do it eventually by "playing" with the settings, I failed to "keep" the same look in other groups i created with 1 row of 4 tabs and so goes. everything had too much height or too much width. I went through the addon's manual but i couldn't find any reference to those settings. Maybe a friendlier to the end user UI ?
2) Syncing! Back when i was using Fast dial, there was a particular feature that i really liked, in fact it was the only one: Addon's settings and sites where being saved in bookmarks, so Weave could pick them up and sync them with all my machines, without much hussle. I understand that there is an Export/Import option in speed Dial as well, but seamless syncing is always better in my opinion!
3) And this is something really minor, -maybe it's just my mind anyway- but i noticed that hovering over thumbnails is "slow" like there is a delay in the hover effect or something, While this is no biggy it gives me the feeling of a slow program (which of course isn't!) Some settings to "mess" with the hover-over-thumbnails effects would be a good thing too!
Appart from those minor things that i would like to see improved, i really like this addon! in fact, this should come pre-installed with every firefox version out there!

the SpeedDial's GUI is the best but Fastdial is better for my needs.
Fastdial saves url in bookmark so I can sincronize 2 computer with xmarks.
This is very important for me.

This would be really nice if we could back tab backgrounds transparent. I like to just have buttons without all this nasty rectangle business. That is the only thing fastdial has on this one. Also the built-in ability to add a background, I figured out how to do it through scripting but I shouldn't have to do that. It is not a hard thing to code, might as well add it.

Ich habe mittlerweile mehrere "Kurzwahlen" meiner Favoriten ausprobiert. Speed-Dial ist mit Abstand das beste Programm Hervorstehendes Merkmal: Absolut intuitiv zu erfassen.

Great Stuff, works like a charm, no bugs, many options, easy to sync between two or more computers. I use FF 3.5.2 with SD 0.9.1.1. It's kind of addictive to use Speed Dial instead of your bookmarks. Thanks a lot for this!
