I LOVE this! It automatically notifies me of big quakes and constantly updates itself. I also check it often for smaller quakes. In my Top 5.

I got a new computer to replace an old one and my beloved eQuake add-on didn't work with the newest version of Mozilla, but NOW I have found a compatible version of eQuake. I didn't realize I was such an addict, and we don't even have earthquakes in my area. I LOVE this add-on! Thanks!!!

I really hope the filters improve in the next version. I'd like to not only be able to filter by magnitude, but also location. For example, USGS's newsletter allows filtering by magnitude and location paramters:
Only show quakes >2.0 within 25 miles of entered ZIP code
Only show quakes > 5.0 nationally
Only show quakes > 7.0 internationally
So in other words, one could set up a bunch of filters ... I don't care about small quakes that happen thousands of miles away, but I do want to know about small quakes that are locally.
Such a filtering feature would make this a 5 star add on

How To Make Old Addons Work With New Versions of Firefox
I found a method for making old addons compatible with FF3.5. Just follow the instructions. By the way, using WinRar for this method doesn't work. You have to use a zip program. I used 7zip and it works fine.

Solid add on, but needs more filtering capabilities.
Also...
Please make compatible with Firefox v3.5 ASAP.

To those of you asking for other data sources please be aware that most earthquake data is not nearly as easy to get from Europe or Canada etc as it is from the USGS. The USGS data covers eqs of magnitude 4.5 upwards in most places and of course 1.0+ in the States.
I to would like to see this available for 3.5 as soon as possible.

Neat little tool, helps me be aware of potential family emergencies in an earthquake-prone area. The update plans sound great - sounds like it will save me time looking up on google maps just where some locations really are.. Anxiously awaiting update for 3.5 firefox.
