I've been using this for a long time and hope it will be ported to webextension some day. Currently does not support multiprocess, but still a great add-on.

it may or may not work properly .. didn't test only installed so I could see if there was an option to selectively switch UA on specific sites.
For the record, I'm looking to do this for any google entity so that I can block their f**ked up new sign in page. They use the agent string as one of the keys for presenting their latest "new" login page, which permanently associates the login rather than let the user select or not, the "remember me" check box.
If you add this feature (auto-spoof list or auto-switch based on host/domain) in the future, please send an update my way and I'll install and update a review then.

the utility of this switcher add-on in my case is to watch the html5 video online. Some video sites provide flash contents by default, i have to switch my palemoon browser to IOS-chrome to get html5 video contents, but often it won't play, leaving a black player "windows" in the browser, as if no contents transfered. After this i have to switch to some others, including obsolate windows-ie6 , and refresh the page, and the video could play

The user agent is a trivial to change setting (via general.useragent.override). The whole point of having an extension, for me, would be to conveniently "bookmark" a bunch of user agents, while keeping a similar behavior as with general.useragent.override, ie once you set it, you keep it until you change it back.
Unfortunately, every time you restart the browser, the extension switches back to the default user agent. Spoofing failed....

This addon works, but I remove one star because it is not possible to set default agent - I have to switch it every time I restart the browser, This is really annoying. Another star is removed because author knows about this problem for a long time - and do nothing. At least - add the option to load default agent automatically at start.

Works as expected. Easy to use.

This add-on has saved me more than once when needing to get downloads for different platforms.
The only feature I find lacking is an automatic page reload when the user agent has been switched. Not a big deal, but would save a little bit of time.

Doesn't support the modern firefox feature -- multi-process usage to effectively distribute the load.

addon needs update. Look obsolete.

For some reason, after the latest update the item in the menu shows the currently selected User Agent instead the add-on name. It's like if I choose "Firefox 40" the menu item under Tools menu shows "Firefox 40" instead "User Agent Switch". If I choose the default it shows "Default User Agent".
Sorry if not the proper place for it, I couldn't find how to report a bug. Anyway, still working great and very helpful.

great apps, but can you add more features like 'user-string for specified domain' or 'user-string for specified tab' only?

Ignore the poster complaining about the lack of included agents, I mean the app provides a link to the download ... took me about 3 seconds to download and add all the agents.
The plugin works, just super tedious to use it through the "menu bar". I'm looking for an alternative only because of that.
