Hi, thanks for your extension which is great and useful.
I've found out how to change the code to place signature above quote or transfered message, which is the setting I prefer. If you're interested to implement it in your code, please tell me. My next step would be to add a checkbox in the option panel leaving the choice to users to decide.

noftal,
as discussed via email:
Your changes will break other functionalities of the add-on.
I will try to implement a "more robust" handling for this in the near future.
Thanks!

Could have been great, but... It won't let you put signature below your most recent answer, but at the end of the email, including ALL messages you might have exchanged with the other person. Devs not willing to change this, so thank you for your easy to use add on, but you really need to fix this thing.

There is nothing to "fix" and I'm not at your beck and call.
There are reasons for not putting a signature in between the email-body. You either accept that, or look somewhere else. Thanks.

Super module. Ca serait encore plus pratique de pouvoir insérer la signature avant la réponse ou à l'endroit où est le curseur.
Bravo pour le travail effectué !

5 STARS for the IMMENSE FEATURE of being able to send images inline!
Normally, only Outlook provides this.

Oh yea and it'd be great to have a toggle button somewhere in the compose window I can only think of so many keyboard shortcuts thankyou

Great addon but really would like to be able to insert the signature before quoted message.

It would be extremely usefull to insert signature before the quote, or at the cursor position, but it's not possible.

Very satisfied to see this essential extension become usable again with the most recent versions of Thunderbird.

It might just be missing some improvements to the internal menu to match better the dark mode.

(By the way, I didn't understand why the source code repository of this extension seems to be shared with other projects, but the author must have some motives to organize his workflow this way)

Hello,
I'm using Signature Switch 2.4.1 with Thunderbird 78.5.0. It is a very useful extension. I have this following problem : If I am writing a new message, and I want to change the signature because the current one is not the correct one, all the content is unfortunatly lost without any possibility to recover it. I remember it was not the case before. Perhaps a last release has a problem or a bad configuration. Best Regards.

Marvelous add-on, works perfect and saves a lot of trouble.
Only one issue/recommendation: In "replies" or "forwards", the signature is always put at the end. There is no way (at least I wasn't able to figure out) to insert the signature after a reply or at cursor position.
Changing the Account Settings-Composition-Addressing don't have any effect.
With this feature, I would give 6 stars.
Congratulations!

Since TB updated to the newest version and I lost the Signature Switch, I was devastated and busy trying to figure out how to create word macros with my Logitech G15 keyboard. This new version works great and I am at a loss to understand how anyone can give a less than 5 star rating to a replacement app that came out so fast. I have also sent a contribution to the author. Great Work !

It works great and easy to use.
Here are some pointers:
- doesn't link to the account signatures, you need to recreate them manually and might create issues on the long-run
- The signatures are added at the end of the email, so if you are replying to an email that has a long thread, it will be inserted at the bottom of the thread.

Suggestions:
- Give us an option to select the already set signatures in each account, if possible.
- Option to insert the signature at the cursor position.

This is a great add-on. Working great with TB 78 so far. Only issue is that signatures need to be created and stored inside TB and managed necessarily from within the add-on. There are no more signature files saved in the program's Signatures folder. So if you wnat to save / backup your signatures you must remember to create .txt (or .html) files and save them appropriately.

I switched to Thunderbird recently and am pretty happy with it, except the old signature randomizer I used with Eudora of course doesn't work here. So I grabbed SIgnature Switch. It does the job!

Naturally, Thunderbird forced an update and the new version of SS is still in progress. As far as I can see, most everything works except the "Fortune Cookies" feature. When I enable it the signature from Thunderbird comes across verbatim: mine is set up so that the tag for my SS setting is "RandomSig", but when I put [[RandomSig]] in Thunderbird, that's exactly what appears in the signature of my email below the -- separator.

I know the file is correct and the path is valid, because I used it with the prior version of SS and it worked fine.

I'm going to go ahead and give 5 * because I'm sure this will get fixed soon.

Edited again: this review still applies with version 2.4.1 (the current version at this time).

A bit surprised that my signatures were gone, but I read you're not to blame. It took some time getting to know to add-on again, but hey, I'm happy I have a working signature add-on for 78.*, so tnx!
