Published by ABSONS Technologies (https://absons.net)
Effective Date: September 14, 2026

1. DATA COLLECTION
This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, usage analytics, or telemetry.

2. EMAIL CONTENT
When you click the "Improve Writing" button, your current email draft is sent to the AI service provider you have selected (OpenAI, Groq, Google Gemini, or your self-hosted Ollama instance). No email content is transmitted at any other time. No background data transmission occurs.

3. API KEYS
Your API keys are stored locally on your device using the browser's built-in storage API (browser.storage.local). They are never shared with any party other than the AI provider you configured.

4. THIRD-PARTY AI SERVICES
This extension communicates with third-party AI APIs only as configured by you. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how your data is handled:
- OpenAI: https://openai.com/privacy
- Groq: https://groq.com/privacy-policy
- Google AI: https://ai.google.dev/terms

5. SELF-HOSTED OPTION
For maximum privacy, you can use a self-hosted model via Ollama. In this configuration, no data leaves your local machine.

6. CONTACT
For questions about this privacy policy, visit https://absons.net

Some add-ons ask for permission to perform certain functions (example: a tab management add-on will ask permission to access your browser’s tab system).

Since you’re in control of your Thunderbird, the choice to grant or deny these requests is yours. Accepting permissions does not inherently compromise your browser’s performance or security, but in some rare cases risk may be involved.
