Suomen kielen oikolukusanasto

Wurdearring: 2 fan de 5 stjerren

After installing oikoluku 2.0rc2, Firefox 7.0 on Windows XP and Linux crashed on Gmail and other pages with forms.

However, after installing 2.0, the crashes don't seem to happen on Linux but still happen on Windows XP.

Suomenkielen oikoluku on yksi niistä.

Miksi Firefox 5 julkaistiin näin äkkiä Firefox 4:n jälkeen melko pienillä muutoksilla? Yrittääkö Mozilla saada IE:n kiinni versionumeroinnissa?

Compact Menu 2

Wurdearring: 4 fan de 5 stjerren

Very useful to save screen space especially since AFAIK, this is the only one of it's kind that works on Thunderbird.

Just a small "problem": on TB3 the button is wider than on TB2. I suppose this is because by default, it should have the label beside it just like all the other buttons.

Purge!

Wurdearring: 2 fan de 5 stjerren

Does not work on TB3.1.

It is already about a year since I e-mailed the developer about this issue and he just claimed that it works fine for him.... (?!) So don't expect this extension working anytime soon.

@joeltx: The "Compact" button doesn't seem to anything here. Would make sense that Thunderbird had this functionality built-in already though.... and it should be right there in the toolbar _by default_.

2 stars instead of 1 just because I remember this working so well in TB2.

Stylish - Custom themes for any website

Wurdearring: 3 fan de 5 stjerren

This is the kind of an addon you'd love to give 5 stars for. However, then you realize that Thunderbird 3.1 is _still_ unsupported... and then you remember the built-in editor which is _still_ ridiculously rudimentary... and no option to use an external editor that the world has in abundance...

Great addon, but needs updating for Tb3! Especially as it wastes more screen real estate than Tb2...

Link Status

Wurdearring: 4 fan de 5 stjerren

Great, but it doesn't work very well with the AutoHideStatusbar extension when you don't have the "show when hovered over a link option" enabled. I don't, because I found it too distracting.

I also use Fission. But for the same reason as above, I don't use the option to show the destination link in the locationbar. Instead, I use a (userChromeJS) script to show the link in a tooltip. This is the least distracting way IMHO.

So I have a suggestion that would make this an almost perfect companion for both of these extensions: Provide an option to show the link status and/or the link in a tooltip (when hovered over a link).

This way it would work with (and complement) both of these add-ons.

Title in Address

Wurdearring: 4 fan de 5 stjerren

Please update for Fx 3.5. Works fine though if you ignore version check.

I'd also like it to show the page title at all times except when the addressbar is focused. This way it would become the perfect companion for the Hide Caption extension(s):

https://addons.mozilla.org/fi/firefox/search?q=hide+caption&cat=all

I mean, who needs to see an address like the one above all the time anyway?

autoHideStatusbar

Wurdearring: 4 fan de 5 stjerren

After installing Fission, the statusbar has become only a container for the icons from the other extensions.

So basically I could manage with a simple button that hides/unhides the statusbar (I don't like to have extra toolbar buttons though).

So, what I'd really like to see in a more complex extension is:

1. Show the statusbar if an extension asks attention, so the user can respond. Hide it again after a short time.

2. Instead of trying to hit "some magical spot" to unhide, I'd actually prefer an on/off toggle button. BUT instead of a normal toolbar button (which is pretty much an overkill for this kind of functionality), the button could be always visible in the right corner and under the scrollbar (so not a standard statusbar icon). Not sure if this would be possible though.

MinimizeToTray revived

Wurdearring: 4 fan de 5 stjerren

Nice addon. Unfortunately it doesn't work in Thunderbird 2 which IMO would need this even more than Firefox.

I'd switch to Tb3 beta if my other extensions would work with it including the dictionary for my native language...

Compact Menu 2

This is great but what's the point of adding an option to display the *empty* menubar (into the View/Toolbars menu)?
