Excellent, I was so looking forward to finding an email program that could send an email to multiple recipients as separate individual emails.
Mail merge is such a well thought of extension that solves this simply. Creating the emails in the Outbox for review before send is a very elegant solution.

Brilliant little app, works exactly as advertised. Used for several mailings ranging from 50-400 recipients. Compiled in 10-15 seconds, and sent out, one-at-a-time, in about ten minutes.
I'd rate it six stars were there another available!

This is an EXCELLENT Add-on that I use to send emails to my various organizations. With the increasing paranoia of ISPs discarding email they think are spam. Sending individual emails are a way to ensure emails go through.

Hi Alex,
When we have an incident (Network router or bad adress or ...) then the module stop. So can you make an option to restart automatically the process at the latest adress and if the problem continue after 2 attemps, then the module bypass the adress in default and continue with the next email adress.

Fantastisch, kann mich dem/der Vorredner*in nur anschließen, seit ich es beherrsche, läuft es super. Ich hatte extra alles auf Brevo eingerichtet, damit ich "professionell" versenden kann - und dann festgestellt, dass es mit Mailmerge doch viel besser läuft. Ich checke mailadressen vorher bei ZeroBounce (leider nicht DSGVO-konform), aber dann verschicke ich hunderte und tausende Mails mit Mailmerge.

Very effective add-on, which is at the same time very easy to use (thanks for the very clear and detailed instructions) and very powerful if need be. Batch mailing to my students – including personalized e-mails – is really made a breeze with MailMerge!
I really would like to thank the developper by making a contribution, but I cannot find any information on this (and I have looked hard!) Is there a Paypal page or contribution page somewhere that I missed?

A really useful add-on if you want to send out personalised mail to a list. It's pretty straightforward to use.
I'd appreciate a little more guidance on the syntax for using fields conditionally and for embedding fields.

I can't recall if I entered a review when I first started using this excellent add-on several years ago. No matter - it's worth another as I upgrade to TB 115.
I use MailMerge judiciously and selectively, most often to send a customized and personalized informational message to a defined group of people whom I know individually. For me, it's not about mass mailing, but custom mailing.
I saw this recent review which I'll include with credit, because it is spot on.

This extension is still the top of its game for many years already, and an important reason to stick with Thunderbird as a mail client. As I wrote many years ago, many powerful things are possible using MailMerge, but just being able to send personalized mails to a whole mailinglist is priceless.

This extension is still the top of its game for many years already, and an important reason to stick with Thunderbird as a mail client. As I wrote many years ago, many powerful things are possible using MailMerge, but just being able to send personalized mails to a whole mailinglist is priceless.
A few days ago I wrote that this Add-on wasn't doing well, that it was very slow, popping up many different windows when it's run, and that, together with the changes that were forced by the redesign of Thunderbird caused me to be very pessimistic about the future usefulness of this platform. But it turned out that somehow I had ticked the box "Beta" in the settings. The author of this add-on personally reached out to me by email and pointed out that this might be the case. And indeed! Without that box checked, it ran like before, quickly filling my Local Folder's Outbox with generated mails.It took less than a minute to generate some 300 mails with attachments..!
Anyone wanting to do a bit (or a lot!) of automation in sending to a list of people, this is it, highly recommended!

Excellent module, que je redécouvre bien des années après l'avoir expérimenté pour la première fois !
L'envoi de pièces jointes personnalisées fonctionne à merveille : on peut insérer une variable dans le nom du fichier à joindre pour éviter d'ajouter un champ avec les noms de fichier.
Et l'on peut même utiliser sous Windows un fichier .csv encodé en utf-8, créé par CardBook, excellent module aussi !!
N'hésitez pas à soutenir financièrement les développeurs ;-)
